I never get the survey while I am running Linux, I always get it when I "happen" to log into windows.

It's the same issue I have been experiencing with Rust. The mouse cursor just sticks, and doesn't want to move again, have to do a few little tricks to get it working again. This game looks good, I am going to buy it to support them :)
