Quoting: melkemindThis is a game I'm definitely not going to play on the Steam Deck. I'll likely play it on my TV. While I'm glad Linux creators are making Steam Deck content, it would be nice if someone was still running tests and doing benchmarks on desktop Linux for games like this.Have a look here. Quoting: fearnflavioQuoting: GeamanduraGreat! Is it able to count play time on GOG though?Heroic count the playtime on its own. But not the time you have on GOG Galaxy for instance.IF that's what you mean.
Quoting: fearnflavioThere are some improvements to make on the interface and navigation. As always thanks for the awesome launcher. Any plans to add Origin or Battlenet support?
Also (not an issue for readers here) but after release, we noticed that games are not installed on Windows. Its the platform we put less time to test and most of our users are on Linux.
Some games might not install or not even load the Install Dialog. Ex.: Fallout classic.
We are trying to understand why.
But most of the things are working fine for a first release. :)

Quoting: fearnflavioJust a huge thanks from me for the great work on Heroic. Btw nice Sabbath top!!Quoting: mao_dze_dunFlavio should really apply for an Epic grant. Thanks! :)
PS If they manage to integrate GOG in a way I can run the Windows versions of games to get my cloud saves and achievements, this will officially be the best launcher in history :)
So, I had applied for the mega grant about 6 months ago since some people were asking me to do since Heroic is doing a favor to Epic, especially now with the Steam deck. And this was one of the arguments I used during the application.
Still, last week I got a big NO from them and they didn't say the reason.
To be honest this was expected and I never believe we could get it.
Like Rodney from Legendary said: at least they did not answer with a lawsuit. ahahahaha
About GOG: windows games are already working, we are just missing the native games now and getting updates for the games, but this is working on.
Cloud saves might be possible in the future, not on the first implementation though.

Quoting: dorronThe performance for God of War has dropped from 40+ to 15-25 fps...anyone having the same problem?Im still getting between 45-60 on my system. Frametimes seem a bit more stable. That being said I updated the graphics driver and also GE proton to the latest. Strangely my Vulkan is still 1.2, and I can't seem to find how to upgrade to 1.3

This is what I used before. I probably should wait until they update it. Btw discovered your site literally today. Keep up the good work. And yes that guide seems way above my comfort level.
Quoting: Liam DaweQuoting: SacredsinI have a GTX1060 and Im currently on 495 driver. Any idea how to install this newer driver? I previously used a PPA, and if I try to install the driver from Nvidias site I get some error that I have xserver running etc. The guide from https://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2021/debian-ubuntu-linux-mint-nvidia-guide/ [External Link] seems a little too involved for me. Im on Linux Mint 20.3 with xanmod custom kernel. Thanks in advance. That might be one of the worst looking guides I've ever seen, far too overcomplicating things.
Your best bet is just to use the PPA still I believe: https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa [External Link]
