Football Manager 2017 released with day-1 Linux & SteamOS support, demo available

I may check out the demo. I'm not a football fan but the odds of Eastside Hockey manager ever getting a Linux port is looking very slim so it could soothe that craving.

Hold off on buying 'White Noise 2', currently broken on Linux

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully they fix it.

Quoting: SangreDeReptilI picked Escape Goat. I'll buy the sequel soon.

It's a shame The Swapper (USD 1.59) doesn't have a Linux version on GOG. :/

Agreed as I prefer Linux games from GOG over other DRM free sources. They list the version number when downloading so you can tell if it is updated or not from what you had. Itch.io does this as well. There is a DRM free version of The Swapper from Humble Store that has a Linux option if you're interested.

Quoting: orochikyo...there is a reason ... that actually any Mac OS doesnt have a terminal since 10 years ago.

To be honest, it doesn't look like the absense of the Terminal helped MacOS become "Gamers' Heaven" in any way. The same old 3,5%...

I dont think I have to explain why MAC is still 3.5%, their marketing turn around the fact that not anyone can have a IMAC, or IPHONE or Ipad, its an elitist marketing towards people who like to make others to known they have money, so MAC will be never a product for the masses. Still MacOS is still way easy to use than Linux.

I worked for a company who was contracted by Apple to do troubleshooting over the phone so I used OS X daily for a year and I don't know if I would say it is easier to use. I'm not calling it hard at all but at the same time there is so little you can do with OS X from a customization or troubleshooting standpoint that it's kind of like baby's first OS. If you have so little power in the OS you use and have so little that can break is it really easier ?

Quoting: baccilusI have i5 [email protected] + 24GB RAM and GTX 1060 6GB. I think I am set but I have also recently got Mad Max and am really confused on which should I start first. I took nearly 3 months to complete Tomb Raider, since I don't game on daily basis.

It depends on whether you're looking for a stealth game or a shooter games (Deus Ex) or a melee combat and car game like Mad Max. Also you can beat Deus Ex in less time than Mad Max since it isn't open world so depends on what you're in the mood for.

I'd be interested to know the total number of Linux respondants rather than the percentage. If there was a bigger influx of Mac and Windows gamers than Linux gamers than our percentage would fall. As long as the number of Linux gamers keeps rising then I don't care about a percentage. In a way it could still be a good thing. More PC gamers overall are more potential future Linux gamers.

Yet another reason to kick myself over getting that RX 480 over a GTX 1060 back in September. My GTX 680 is now the minimum haha. Oh well, I'll still be interested in the game.

Seems kinda interesting. Could anybody provide a similar game ? Trying to get an idea what the gameplay is like. Hopefully the Linux versions gets to GOG, they only have the Windows and Mac versions at the moment.

Septerra Core, an rpg from 1999 is another Wine-port from Topware Interactive

If it makes it's way to a DRM free version i'll pick it up. GOG has Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator but I'm not sure if that's the same game.
