So in response to my inquiry about whether they were planning a DRM free version their response was:

"Hello dear pirates,

We have a lot of respect for the hacker community (yeah we are serious), but if you can just wait that we get at least 250k copies sold before killing the DRM it will be cool for us to make another games.

So why not help us to spread the word by RT and fav all we says on our twitter on the game and we may see what we can do for some free keys maybe."

I'm sure they didn't mean to call those who prefer DRM free games pirates and hackers but they did a poor job of wording it. My response was classy in my eyes.

I was really happy to see them release a demo and I wish them success but stealth games aren't for me. I tried three times to enjoy the demo but just couldn't do it.

Sad news. I'm still waiting for the Linux versions to hit GOG so maybe they will bring over patched copies when/if they get around to it.

Valve shoots down Itch stores attempt to get their client on Steam

I don't really care myself because i'd stick with the DRM free Itch store over Steam anyway but I find ut funny that Valve quashed this considering all of the low quality crapware they allow through. I get it from a business standpoint but it makes them look like petty fools when digital homicide can get their games on Steam but Itch can't get their store on Steam.

Kona, a good looking first person adventure game now in Early Access, some thoughts

I told them on GOG that I would purchase it as soon as they added Linux support. True to my word the day they added Linux to GOG I bought it after I was done work. I'm waiting to play it until it is released though. I don't want to spoil it for myself.
