This is awesome news. Not just for Turok but also because this same studio will be handling System Shock 3. If they are willing to port Turok to Linux then it gives us good odds that they will do the sdame for SS3.

They can expect a purchase from me as soon as it is out of beta. I was hoping to get a DRM free version and a Linux version but to their credit they tried. The Desura version is DRM free but with Desura going bankrupt they may not get the proceeds from that. Other DRM free outlets have refused to sell the game. Really sad since Postal is sold on these outlets and is similar.

I must be in the minority of people who could care less if a store has an application or client. I feel kind of like an old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn.

My money goes where the open standards are so this would keep me on the red team. Hopefully developers actually use these tools.

I'm not a fan of the co-op games such as Payday but the more developers working on Linux the better.
