You can also get the current Horizon Zero Dawn on GOG. But I doubt that will be the case for the remaster.

That was one of the most obnoxious cases, adding it a year after its release. I bought it before they added denuvo, and uninstalled it once they did. Now I could reinstall and continue playing it I guess.

Isn't that pretty much what Sony had been doing regularly throughout the PS5 shortage? You entered with your PSN account and then they sent out invitations to buy one to a few chosen ones. Similarly, in the AMD GPU drops you went to their store at a predetermined time and everyone got a random place in a queue that would or would not enable you to buy one. I'm not surprised, that it exists. Only that it's still the case apparently.

It will be in Heroic in testing soon. The people there are doing what GOG apparently can't be bothered to. Honestly, if it wasn't for projects like Heroic, HeroicBashLauncher, and BoilR, I would have already stopped buying from GOG as well. Long-time archival of games I bought is the only reason for me of buying from them anymore, and I don't feel like they're taking that all that seriously anymore either. From a standpoint of comfortably playing games, Steam is miles ahead imo.

I've been wondering, on Desktop you can use this (or Nextcloud) to keep your game saves in sync in the background. Would that be possible on the Steam Deck in the regular SteamOS mode as well or do you have to always start them manually to trigger a sync?
...
I really wish GOG would just give us a way to access Cloud Sync on Linux...
