Quoting: drmoth2. Linux users being used to submitting bug reports
This! Linux users are used to report bugs, they are used to developers listening to them and try and fix every issue they encounter and they are even encourage to do so by most open source developers who want all bugs to be fixed so that the experience can be bug free for everybody.

Windows users on the other hand are used to the usual "it's your system, you should reformat and reinstall Windows" (almost every time I've search about an issue on Windows on forum the guy end up reinstalling Windows) so they won't open a support ticket and instead will write a bad review.

Mac users don't know how to use a computer, most of them probably didn't even manage to install it on Steam (just joking :-)

Introducing the Latest Addition To GOL Cast Hardware: Radeon R7 370 [Updated]

Quoting: GuestI know I'm wasting words, but for those saying they think AMD should fix it - no, at least not entirely. A driver team pumping men-hours into workarounds and such is trying to cure the symptom, not the cause: shitty code in the first place.
There are reasons that games suddenly get patched and work just fine on AMD cards, without driver updates. The bulk of the effort is actually in getting developers writing the games properly in the first place - that's where the most gains will be seen.
In my opinion, if Linux game developers and porter don't know how or don't care about making their games perform well on AMD cards that's also something that AMD should fix.

As a side note, the Steamboy that as been announced [External Link] recently to release during Q4 of 2016 will run on AMD (source : http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/141284-SteamBoy-Machine-Is-Now-SMACH-Zero-And-Here-Are-Its-Specs [External Link].

I hope that AMD will fix this issue soon but in the meantime only those who don't want to run proprietary driver should have an AMD card. Some people end up thinking that all games on Linux have performances issues while in fact most games are running as good their Windows version (and sometime even better).

Quoting: ElectricPrismHow much can we expect it to cost? I'm unsure if this kind of device is pure luxary or really complimentary to Linux Gaming.

Also, I wonder if it has negative health effects on the eyes.
Well they said it will not be cheap, I don't think it will cost less than $400. Unless you have a lot of money to spare you can strap your smartphone to your head :

Or simply wait until VR headsets become cheaper, which will eventually happen ... if they don't fail (again).

Quoting: wojtek88I know that they post this videos with games that run nicely (seems that this is more like an element of the sales campaign) but I would love to see both Metro games, Witcher 2, Shadow of Mordor, Cities: Skylines, Borderlands TPS. Just to know how do they work on the hardware before I would decide to order/buy it.
I finished Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Night on Linux without encountering any issues at all.

Interview With The Developers Of Cossacks 3, Which Is Coming To Linux

Quoting: BeamboomWhat do you mean "wake up"?
It might be a mistranslation, in French it's something you say when someone just realized something that is going on since a long time (it's an interjection, sorry if you have though it was meant to be an insult).

Quoting: BeamboomI don't understand what you're talking about here. "Pay Valve"?
Publishers can pay to advertise their games on the store front of Sony or XBox consoles, I was only pointing out that on Steam they have to find other means to be on the store front, supporting Linux is one way to achieve this.

Interview With The Developers Of Cossacks 3, Which Is Coming To Linux

Quoting: BeamboomThere's one piece of info in this interview that really stands out from the rest for me, and that's this:

"Steam actively supports games that have Linux versions"

He mention this twice, and was new to me.
Wake up! Where do you think all this games on Linux come from? For most developer there is only one way to get your game on Steam and it is through Steam Greenlight and games that have Linux support seems to need less time and effort to be Greenlight. Also, there is no way to pay Valve to have your game advertised more the others on the Steam Store, it's partially algorithms and partially hand-picked title by Valve, if your game support Linux you have probably more chance to be hand-picked.
