It's sad but it's probably because of credit card fraud and the grey market of digital video games.

The problem does not seems to affect all users, first you need to have not played the game in one go like most gamers will do, second you need to be using the mouse and not a controller, third even here it seems to depend on how far you are in the game.
Given that, I don't think you can blame the developers for not seeing this bug during the testing phase.
But I do agree that such a bug should be given priority and would probably already have been fixed if this was the case.

Quoting: PixelPiWhen Nintendo's next console is a miss again, they are simply broke. It doesn't really affect your point but I just wanted to point out that this isn't true. Nintendo saved so much money that they could survive multiple generation of failed consoles before even having to worry about going broke.

Valve really made a shity job with the Steam Machine, they didn't know which market they targeted, they didn't invest in marketing, they didn't control the third parties letting sold the same product without SteamOS wthem hich added even more confusion, they've put up false advertisement, they shoot themselves in the foot with Link, the list go on...
Not being capable to sell the more powerful console on the market with already 2000 of games at launch is a massive failure.
Nintendo learned something from the Wii U, I hope Valve will learn something from the Steam Machines. But I'm not optimistic.

It's looking like Linux may hit 3,000 games on Steam by the end of 2016

Anyway the best place to play JRPG is still consoles and I don't see it changing soon.

Quoting: CleanWaterI personally miss JRPGs and Sim JRPGs on SteamOS. I think that quantity is a good thing, but more diversity is what Linux is really in need now.Square Enix is porting their games to Linux, maybe we'll get Final Fantasy at some point.

This is awesome, if those guys know Vulkan imagine when they'll have meetings with publishers to get theirs games on Linux: "we will port the game to Linux and to Vulkan at the same time and all the Windows players will profit from this as well".
Shadow Warrior 2 should still be coming to Linux after all, was a miscommunication

There is not a lot of games developers used to Linux and the same goes for game testers, and that's why when porting project are done internally it often take longer than anticipated. But it can only get better with time as we get more and more games to our platform.

Quoting: m2mg2Looking at the steamdb entries I don't see any indications the Linux version has started development. We may be in for a long wait. Also makes me worry they may not have paid attention to cross platform support in their development tools.Valve provide tools for developers but not everyone has to use them, they may be using their own versioning system, their own continuous integration tools and their own automatic deployment scripts and if so they will probably only put it on Steam servers only a fews days before release for Valve quality control.
Hopefully it all works out. Just don't buy it until Linux release, no matter how good a sale comes along.

I remember back in 2015 I was thinking: in 2016 the bullshit will be over and developers will become serious about Linux versions (not announcing stuff that they don't intend to do). But looks like I was wrong, we are getting even more bullshit than last year.
