@_Mars in my experience, that's already done.
Playing Doom The Dark Ages on mesa 25.0 was a slideshow on the 3rd level and required me to install amdvlk, but when mesa 25.1 showed up in Fedora repositories, performance was on par with amdvlk - and that's using an RX 6600. I wonder if mesa 25.2 improves this even further, but I guess we'll get the answer when Fedora 43 hits our SSDs

Unfortunately, Wero is far from ideal, as you need to use either Android with Google Play Store or an iPhone... As a GrapheneOS user not willing to install the Google Play Services, for the time being it is quite useless to me.
Let's hope they offer an open source implementation one day, in the mean time there is still no real alternative to Paypal, other than going credit card only - which I might end up doing.

I remember being like 10 years old, launching Hexen demo on my PowerMac, getting warnings for blood and gore, and discovering the loading screen consisting of two skulls left and right and the progression bar being a spine slowly linking the two of them. Along with the music, that was like coming across a forbidden game...

I hope they don't mess it up, because 30 bucks for a wide-screen patch is a bit on the expensive side...

To me, this only means more work for RPMfusion, which means "same as before but unofficial," as most RPMfusion contributors are also Fedora package maintainers... So this decision would actually increase maintainers burden, but at the same time would bring awareness around the subject.
Either way I don't think we are going to be forced to change distro, but I could be wrong...

The glibc 2.41 update has been causing problems for Linux gaming

I remember glibc breaking Enemy Territory Quake Wars back in the day, that took me hours to troubleshoot but I still had problems with missing letters and that kind of things. Nowadays we can consider ourselves lucky to have Proton.

Indeed, I was waiting for AMD to reveal a bit more about RDNA4, and more particularly its power consumption since Nvidia's seems to be skyrocketing with their next gen.
Now is a good time to strike and with sensible pricing and good power efficiency, they could reproduce what happened on the CPU market 8 years ago...
