Fantastic game. Also the LAST one I ever played (and finished) on Windows. I think I'll do it again on Linux, just to enjoy the wonderful scenery.

If it's fixed, they should tell Virtual Programming how they did it because they have kinda the same bug in Dirt Showdown chere cars' wheels are transparent ! https://github.com/virtual-programming/dirtshowdown-linux/issues/4 [External Link]

Ars Technica Benchmarks Show Windows 10 Beating SteamOS Performance

As long as games will be *ported* there'll be a performance gap. Games should be developped with cross platform in mind from the start. I don't think many people would be able to tell on Windows that a game uses OpenGL instead of DirectX. But at least, the total amount of work would be much less than developping for windows then *porting*.
What I'm worried about is that *porters* may encourage such bad behavior by telling game devs not to change anything, continue developping only for windows, so then *porters* could sell their expertise and/or DX to OGL layer framework. The end of the tunnel for us is far far far... :/

+1 for Project Cars... :/
By the way, as I was lacking a good sim racing, I started playing Dirt Showdown and it's not as bad as I though: it's not a sim but it's fun (even for somebody like me who dislike crashing or scratching a car) and technically very fluid (appart from some wheels missing from the cars - see https://github.com/virtual-programming/dirtshowdown-linux/issues/4 [External Link] ).

As a huge fan of racing games I recently bought Dirt showdown but have been disapointed by the game. I want to RACE, not to hit other cars ! So I'm waiting this one ! And remember that Project cars should still come to Linux. One day I hope...

Project Cars 2 Announced With Linux Support

I backed the first one when I was still dual booting. As I'm not anymore, I haven't played it for something like a year and am eagerly awaiting the promised Linux release. Any due date ?
