Quoting: ZeloxCongrats looking forward to the next 10 years to come. I also got to say, I miss gol Friday streams with samsai. New Linux releases streamad and doom 4 :P. If you read this samsai, come back :P
Samsai still streams on Friday but not on the main GOL Twitch channel.
I think they went their own seperate way as Samsai and Liam/Sin wanted to do different things on Friday.
Ooh what's his channel called, and is it still Linux related?

Linux Mint doing a small-form-factor MintBox 3, they don't sound too happy about Snaps

Pretty sure valves nu recommended os will be linux mint, just because its debian based, its got old solid kernel and is LTS.
Its good to see Linux mint devs seems commited now with all the news involving Ubuntu :(.

Linux mint was one of the first Linux destros I tryed, and there was always problems for me, I couldnt use it like a windows machine and it was just frustrating for a beginner.
Now that Iv been more comfortable with linux and how to use it I might check out linux mint again sometime in the future.
But also add the old kernel and the security problems linux mint has hade in its history, Im still a bit sceptical.
But I think its still a good OS for valve to support :).

And I still love lord gaben so dont get me wrong, but pr, communication and public apperances isnt really valves thing I guess :P
It's unbelievable how you can be that unprofessional and that successful at the same time! :D

But then, maybe it's our luck that they're not the usual business type of guys...!
Haha very True, but somehow he made it.
And it doesnt really matter cause they make money anyways. Guess passion and the right surcemstanses is the answer. :P

Ye, imagen EA or ACTIVISION instead of valve. When I think of it, The only company I really want to take valves place, if I hade to choose to replace valve, CDPR.

Im not so excited for VR sadly. I need better hardware, a headset and a decent game. The only game that comes to mind is elite dangerous. But i dont want to spend that kind of money for a game. If its a cheaper price to enter, or if a headset could stream game from your steam library, I might be intressted.

But im happy VR is still developing big time, this will make everything cheaper, in the long run.
At the moment Im more excited for the flag ship title valve is going to release with index.

Valve looking to drop support for Ubuntu 19.10 and up due to Canonical's 32bit decision (updated)
22 Jun 2019 at 10:37 pm UTC

I hope Valve aims for a rolling release destro, like arch or manjaro. Or maybe something totaly new. From what Iv understand its not 100% confirmed that canonical will drop 32 bit, at least that was my interpretation from omg ubuntu.
18:04 will probably be installed on my PC untill support ends.
