System Shock 2 has the best crazy AI, and was the mother of the GladOS.
I head they lost the source code to System Shock 2 and that's why they wrapped it in WINE. It would be cool to see System Shock 1 compared against the original graphics in a article suchas this.

This looks fun - will it be SC1 on Linux for me? I would surely die in happiness.

I quit watching HB as their track record has been 50-80% Windows only games.
Not sure what games are Linux in that bundle

Seems like the gamelist was a flop - maybe I should be interested in ARMA 3, right now it seems to be the CoD of Linux whereas Storm United is the Halo of Linux.

Once I learned the Gnome Hotkeys/Shortcuts/Accelerators to Tile Windows i3 was history. And I learned that Shellscape Gnome Extension [External Link] adds advanced Window Tiling fairly well.

Quoting: ApopasAs a Arch User I used i3 for about a week and I also gamed on it. It was wicked fast, and I'm not fond of light weight window managers (openbox, lxde, xfce) - but it offered productivity.Quoting: Werzazi3wm user (and first-time commenter) here. I was always surprised that there are so many of us. However, I have replied "None/Custom" since it was pointed out some months ago. Before that I replied i3wm because I figured that was the interesting information in that question. I was well aware that it is not a DE but then the Steam Big Picture mode is not a DE either imho. After all whether DE or not, the choice can affect how games run, e.g. sometimes fullscreen does work well in i3.I don't underestimate the value of i3 or Openbox or other window manager. I'm an Openbox user as well. I just find odd for i3 users to be over three times more than Openbox, more than LXDE and just under Mate. I insist that a lot of people who voted for i3 happen to have i3 processors and were confused.
I don't wish to change anything about the survey since I don't care much about this question. I'm just trying to give some insight as to why one might reply i3 or openbox.

This looks interesting, maybe it's worth a shot on sale - that's the problems with these simple puzzle like games they're a dime a dozen and you really don't know which ones are the cream of the crop.
But at least this has a 90% positive rating.
I guess another deciding factor would be if you get 1-2 hours fun out of it then that's $4/hr instead of $11 to go to a movie, so I guess there's that too.

Storm United UE4 FPS Updated, Works Great On Linux Now & On Sale

So far I've bought 5 copies for friends & myself included. SU is good, but it is a bit CPU intensive like other UE4 games imo so my i7 1st Gen barely cuts it even though I'm equipped with a GTX 970.

Quoting: linuxgamerI have a bad feeling buying "Early Access" esp. with 75% off.You misunderstand then - the game will be Free to Play when it leaves Early Access. At this time however Early Access buys you some limited edition items you won't be able to get later in addition to playing right now.

Never got into HL till I beat Black Mesa, too bad the last 2 chapters on Source2 are incomplete.
Obv HL3 is in development but to admit that would require them to commit to releasing it. I don't think they're willing 2 release HL3 unless it's perfect since their base expects godlike fun & story.
HL3 SteamMachine skin would own & sell like hot cakes.

I've been following this game a while now and I sometimes play online.
When I play Storm It feels very Halo, CSS, and CoD-ish which is fantastic because I plan to play it on my Steam Controller. It's been a long time since I had my fix from Halo 3.
Definitely my #1 anticipated SteamOS FPS - however, they seem like they're holding the reigns back to really draw the public in and unleash the hype as the beta servers are a ghost-town and whatever master plan they have they're content to wait on as long as it takes for them to get development where they want it.
It is good to see them communicating their intentions and progress - good news or bad news. I hope to see success in their near future as a FTP FPS. And I guess I'll get some Early Access Loot which might be worth something someday if it's tradable/saleable.

The mechanics of this game really look like the draw here - and they look well done.
Gameplay & Mechanics trump graphics as long as the graphics are not as bad as Half Life 1.

This doesn't look fun. The art comes off as Gromit and Wallace and the comedy feels "try-hard".
The game-play appears confusing aswell, most games have some kind of Genre, like StarCraft / WarCraft / RTS or Tycoon, or MMO WOW 3rd person, or Halo/CoD FPS and you know what to expect.
This on the other hand doesn't feel like it fits in any Genre - it feels like a World of Goo meets Mario Galaxy/Planetary Annihilation (except with bad art) - I don't think those mechanics necessarily compliment each-other.
