Legend Of Grimrock No Longer Works On Nvidia GeForce GTX 900 Series GPUs

While this is kind of bad news indeed I have to admit that I haven't touched this game for a long time. I agree though that the news underline the importance of open source drivers. Still, due to their inefficiency and bad power consumption compared to nVidia cards AMD GPUs (and not only their GPUs) are not an option/alternative for me. Unfortunately, the open source driver is even part of the problem as far as I understand. It was at least lacking some decent power management for quite some time.

SOMA, The New Horror From Frictional Games Due In September Day-1 For Linux, New Trailer Too

Amnesia with a sci-fi setting? Hell yeah! I'm so going to buy this.

The trailer looks awesome already.

And yeah, I probably won't be able to ever finish the game because I'll be too freakin' scared.

Desura Are In A Bit Of Trouble With Not Paying Developers

Damn! This news actually makes me feel a little bad that I bought Running with Rifles on Desura. I really, really like the game and I hope the developers either got their money or that things get solved quickly.

Looks sweet indeed. I hope they will eventually release the game without Steam/DRM-free. Till then I still have Torchlight II :-)

Wasteland 2: Game Of The Year Edition Announced With Many Upgrades, Free Update

Quoting: Segata SanshiroGuess the instant gratification and shiny graphics of modern games has made it harder to play a 60 hour + game with tonnes of dialogue these days. Wish it wasn't that way though :(
No worries; you're not alone. Pretty much the same here.

Invisible, Inc. Strategy Game Released For Linux, Some Thoughts
13 May 2015 at 9:30 pm UTC

Just like with Transistor, the art style and everything is beautiful. But the actual gameplay is not my cup of tea. As much as I'd like to grab these games for their art style and music alone, I know that I wouldn't spend more than one or two hours actually playing them. Too bad.

Wasteland 2: Game Of The Year Edition Announced With Many Upgrades, Free Update

Wow! Simply wow!
I'm glad I didn't start the game yet. Looking at the screenshots I'm really exited though to give this game a try once the GOTY edition gets released. The screenshots look fantastic!

GOG Galaxy Arrives In Open Beta, Linux Support Eventually

I don't care for any clients. I don't need a piece of software to initiate another software. Clients such as Steam are only in my way (and I usually consider them a pain in the neck).

However, I'm a very happy GOG.com customer, so maybe I'll give their client a try once it is released for Linux. At least their client is optional, which already is a major advantage.

City-builder ‘Banished’ Linux Port Nearing Release
5 May 2015 at 7:45 pm UTC

I've always thought that this game looks really interesting. Now that Banished will be released for Linux as well makes it even more interesting and I'm really looking forward to it.

Arma 3 Is Officially Being Worked On For Linux By An External Team, Won’t Be Native
30 Apr 2015 at 6:02 am UTC Likes: 1

That's what I like about Bohemia Interactive: their way of open communication. Whether having the game ported by an external team, whether having the game being non-native is a good or bad thing I will judge later, if and when the game is released and there's actually something to judge. Till then I just appreciate that first of all Bohemia is apparently thinking of bringing their game(s) also to Linux and that they still communicate openly with their community.
