Quoting: dpanterbut did they really need quite a lot of backlash to realize the bulging diaper wasn't full of candy? 🤔My guess is that in the beginning, they just thought "Money's money" and didn't really think about the fact that it's dirty money gained through horrific means. Seeing so many people point out how every AI company including Anthropic is completely antithetical to their goals probably made them realise they should change which direction they went with Anthropic.

I wonder what it is that they're getting at here. If I had to guess, they're bleeding money into the red like every other AI company, so wtf is up with sending out even more? And to Blender of all things?? Seeing how they're amoral enough to support AI in the first place, I highly doubt they're doing this out of the goodness of their hearts.

Honestly, at what point is it easier to just go "Fine!✋🤚" and sit back while watching the world fall apart under it's own idiocracy? I don't mean start using AI, mind you, no no no. I just mean sitting down and watching people realise how much they've screwed themselves over by becoming complacent. There's literally no such thing as ethical AI, and there never will be. It's just gonna be a long fucking time until people realise that.
Of course, do keep fighting this shit, it shouldn't exist. But I constantly ask myself that question every day.

Well I'll be damned, they actually ported it. One of the few Chromium based browsers that didn't support Linux is now available.

Not only is your stance on AI understandable, it's phenomenal! I'm really glad to see you clarifying your position. Among everything being ruined by AI, it's good to know this site will remain great. Keep on keeping on!

So they go the lazy, greedy, and unethical path by using AI for game content, and now are logging user messages. Phenominal. I'm honestly not surprised.

Depending on how much better this is going to make the game run, I wonder how much Sodium and Optifine(along with other mods like Rubidium) are going to be effected by this.

I've gone and set up a Matrix account and am ready to move there when this takes effect. With how many breaches Discord has had, I just can't trust them with info this sensitive.

Quoting: JuliusDoes anyone know if the Selaco devs will switch over and where they plan to upstream their engine improvements now? I haven't followed this very closely.A couple Selaco devs have talked about this in their Steam forums, thankfully. They currently use a very modified version of GZDoom that they maintain themselves, so they weren't really effect by this whole situation at all. Their custom engine version is completely public and open-source, but I imagine it isn't good for general use due to how Selaco-fied it is. I think they pull from GZDoom(or now UZDoom, in reality) and add to it whenever they deem it would be beneficial for whichever direction the changes go. But I don't think they'll rebase the Selaco engine to UZDoom, at least not anytime soon since by the time that they would think it's a good idea to do so, UZDoom will likely have already made a ton of changes that would break lots of stuff in Selaco. Not a dev though, so just a theory on my part.
