I'm also one of those that 'got' it via Humble Indie Bundle 11, so I sort of wonder whether the deal to get it 'later' still is valid after this change of porters.....
GOL GOTY Awards Are Over, Here's The Top 10 From Each Section

Haven't played any of the 'other' section games - guess none of them is available outside steam?
So I'm definitely with Xpander that there should also be a 'DRM-free game' award.
I also think (too) many games to select from and only one vote don't go together very well. Either do a sugestion round and put the 10 (20?) most mentioned ones up for the real vote (one vote per person), or take all suggestions and allow several (5?) votes with decreasing point values....

Quoting: NyamiouFor those who wonder, unlike Humble Bundle you can't download a DRM Free version of the games, you only have Steam keys (that you can share with your friend if you already own the game).

If that were true, Steam for Linux would be dead and unused. It's much more of an issue for hardcore-linuxers.
But steam might be the reason for this low number. I guess most (linux) steamers have dual-boot windows, too, and many games there before there's a Linux version. Depending on how exactly the already-sent detection works, this could make the linux-version not-report on first start.....

Quoting: ElectricPrismTheir Linux user base isn't that big because Linux users are hardcore and don't want to play the mcdonalds of gaming at the top of their list.
