Terraria Still Planned For Linux, Due After The 1.3 Release
30 Apr 2015 at 12:53 pm UTC
And yet the developers were previously saying it would be made available with the 1.3 update... They even showed a video of Terraria running on Ubuntu and as I recall, they claimed that "just about everything" worked (paraphrasing there).
I'll believe it when it happens... Until then, my money will stay in my bank account.

Quoting: RaymondTerrificUh huh.Quoting: VonStill no estimates on “when”?1.3 is supposed to come out in June, so after that.

Version 0.3.5 Of The Open Source Platformer SuperTux Released

With Steam OS just around the corner (well, the "official" release at least), it might drive up the excitement, generate interest and otherwise "further the cause" if gamers could see in a single list what is coming to Steam OS and what is rumoured to be coming to Steam OS...
Just my 2¢.

Quoting: MayeulCThere should be a link to that on the home page somewhere (or somewhere else that's pretty obvious), and you should add "rumoured" to the list... Not "wish" list stuff (ha, the list'd never end!), but games that have actual rumours associated with them (e.g. internal leaks, SteamDB entries, etc...).Quoting: CybaCowboyyou guys should have a list of games rumoured/suspected to be coming to be and confirmed to be coming to Linux-based operating systems...Well, you have this list, but it's about officially promised games : https://www.gamingonlinux.com/crowdfunding/index.php/Unreleased_Ports

In my opinion, it'd "further the cause" if people could see some of the games - the so-called "AAA" titles in particular - that might be or are coming to Linux-based operating systems...

Edit: I misread your post and thought that you were suggesting a list of Linux games... Though the point remains the same, for the people behind Gaming on Linux.

Quoting: FutureSutureI should probably try this at some point but the list of games on Linux is increasing ever more!In addition, you guys should have a list of games rumoured/suspected to be coming to be and confirmed to be coming to Linux-based operating systems... Perhaps via a link or your front page.

Feral Interactive Are Behind The Batman: Arkham Knight, GRID Autosport And Company Of Heroes 2 Linux Ports

Still, Batman: Arkham Knights is what one would typically call a "AAA" title and having just checked-out the trailer in Steam, I can say I'm pretty impressed (I've never played any of the "Batman: Arkham" titles) - as long as the Sony DUALSHOCK 4 is supported by the game (the Linux kernel itself supports it), this could be a pretty impressive addition to my library...

Quoting: melkemindI'm a bit confused. I keep seeing on this site that Batman: Arkham Knight will be a "day one" release on Linux, but the Steam site says "fall". The released date that I see for other platforms is June 2.Well my Steam client was saying June 23rd until tonight - now it's saying "Fall 2015". And here I was planning to pickup a copy on June 23rd... Looks like I'll be waiting now.

How To Use A Nyko Playpad Bluetooth Controller On Linux Using Xboxdrv

It's detected as a Microsoft Xbox controller and it works flawlessly in any game that supports controller inputs... I haven't tried WINE games, but it works fine with most Steam and GOG.com games.

Quoting: NovenThis is why I am glad the Steam controller will be out eventually. Having a native supported controller will be very nice. The Sony DUALSHOCK 4 is natively supported by any Linux-based operating system running an up-to-date kernel:

Quoting: liamdaweIt's a major issue affecting a lot of people. Not everyone will see the email, and we would rather be safe than sorry, and it's a good reminder for people. There might be delays in the e-mails or something - I'm seeing the same story pop-up on a lot of other sites too now...
How Steam Computes Linux Sales

Quoting: GNUzelSo if I buy a game like Shadow of Mordor on Steam on sale, it counts as Linux since I didn't play it and bought it on Linux steam client? As long as you don't install or play it under a Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac OS-based operating system in the first two week, yes... At least according to this article and its sources.

As a gentle reminder people, whether you're affected or not, this is why it's a good idea to always use unique passwords (i.e. different passwords for every site or service); strong passwords (completely random, mixed case; letters, numbers and where permitted, symbols); and where supported, two-factor/two step authentication.
If you don't want to remember so many passwords (who does?), use a password manager like Keepass and if you want to be extra careful, never share your Keepass file "over-the-air" (i.e. via Internet, online storage solutions, e-mail, etc)... Only share your Keepass file by manually copying it to your mobile devices and other computers (e.g. via a "thumb" drive).

Edit: This might be wider than implied - I just logged-in and was forced to reset my password anyway... Even though I still never received an e-mail about this.
Try logging-out and logging back in, if you do not see this message.

Quoting: SkullyNot sure why you think we should change our passwords, nothing in that message says anything about other people being compromised, just you. And I haven't received such a mail.
Quoting: EikeStill not sure if it's about all accounts or only the ones they've sent mails to...I never received an e-mail either, and the blog entry above appears to indicate that only certain people have been affected:
Quoting: TwitchWe will communicate directly with affected users with additional details. But still, I'd rather be safe than sorry...
Quoting: SkullyNot even sure why it's an article on here.Again, it's always better to be safe than sorry...

Plague Inc: Evolved Now In Beta For Linux

I've had this on my "wish" list since the moment it was announced and I've been impatiently awaiting its release for Linux-based operating systems... The moment it is available for Linux-based operating systems, is the moment I'll have it.
If the games that have actually been announced for Linux-based operating systems, Plague Inc: Evolved sits pretty high on my list...
Of course, add in my "wish for a Linux release" list and well, it goes to the bottom of the list - but that's another story. ;-)
