I backed this on Kickstarter, but they put out so many updates I've had to skip following them. Not actually too interest in the game myself.

Great to see ALSA support, I can finally purge my system of pulseaudio. :D

Quoting: Xpanderi really dont get whats that nvenc thing? that was possible long time with OBS
"full support" means you can now use it for streaming, not just recording (as was previously available).

Nvidia 364.19 stable driver released, featuring Vulkan, Wayland & Mir support

Quoting: liamdaweNot exactly too different from previous Nvidia 364.x drivers, but this now makes the Nvidia 364.19 driver throw off the beta label and is stable enough in their eyes.
Nvidia seemingly forgot to make an announcement for it, but the previous 364.16 release was also a non beta.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare on Linux with the Steam Controller (video and thoughts)

Looks like you're still (IMO) holding it wrong. Also your gyro aim is terrible maybe look about at some of the recommended settings used for FPS games.

Quoting: liamdaweI recorded it using OBS Studio, and I haven't quite got the recording side worked out to give a crystal clear video
For the best performance and quality you want to be using NVENC with a bitrate a few times higher then your desired final edit/encode.

Stealth game Shadwen from Frozenbyte to launch in May, Linux should be day-1

I'm very much missing a stealth game in my Linux library. It looks great except maybe for the oversized Trine crates which seem a bit out of place.

Dambuster reconfirm Linux is planned for Homefront: The Revolution, after Windows

Generic looking shooter. I'll only pick it up if friends wants to play it co-op, the delayed release is going to make that less likely to correlate. The high price will surely have many waiting for a sale though.

The Talos Principle beta updated, Vulkan performance improvements & optimizations

Quoting: GuestI only see OpenGL as an option, no Vulkan. Using 361.42 driver but I'm pretty sure they pushed Vulkan support into this stable version of the driver...
[364.12](https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/925605/linux/nvidia-364-12-release-vulkan-glvnd-drm-kms-and-eglstreams/) is the first (and only thus far) stable version the the driver that Nvidia has added Vulkan support.

Linux now has 2,000 games on Steam, big milestone

Quoting: GuestI edited the page a while back and changed it to reference the Steam page directly where you can see the number of games it has, and someone undid my edit citing "Undid revision 711366642 by Swiftpaw (talk) those numbers aren't explicitly stated so this is original research)". Oooh you had to click a button for platform so we can't use Valve's own website as reference...wow...
At the time your edit was incorrect. Not only was it not a direct link you also didn't get the figures for release games. I have just made a edit with direct links and the exact numbers [External Link]. So hopefully that'll stick. No such luck.

Quoting: TheBossif someone could make a version where the shoulder button position is a bit easier to reach
Are you using middle fingers for the triggers and index fingers for bumpers? No reaching required and is very comfortable.

When controllers first started having daul shoulder buttons I always hated that I was required to use index fingers for both buttons. Coming back from that was a little weird at first but so much better in the end. :D
