Quoting: Purple Library GuyOh yeah, the other thing is that when I discover a planet that is uninhabitable but could be terraformed, which happens quite a bit, I nearly always never find it again. Those should show up in the expansion planner.
I do not have a save at hand to check right now, but I am pretty sure terraforming candidates can be found using the expansion planner. The trick is that they are not shown if you apply the filter "is colonizable".
Awesome! Thanks so much. Yeah, I usually use "is colonizable" because it seems kind of pointless to be trying to settle worlds in someone else's empire. I'll definitely have to try this out--in my current playthrough I think I found like half a dozen terraforming candidates but I have no idea where they are.

It may look just like a vaguely ominous crow with connections to Odin's crows Hugin and Munin, but actually it's a giant ornithopter you can craft.

Funny how tastes differ. When I look at that screenshot, "love the graphics" is not what springs from my mind. More like "Civ II with the brightness turned way down".

You know what housekeeping improvement I'd love to see in Stellaris? A UI element for managing megastructures. As is, I try to group them near each other, but there's one kind that can only be built at a black hole, and then there's ones you find and repair . . . I lose track of where they are, and which ones I've built. A little thingie for megastructures, like the ones for leaders and species and such, or else low down in the right-hand outline stuff, would definitely help.

Not sure this is really relevant to the "cloud gaming" controversy . . . I mean, it's an MMO. They're cloud gaming by definition; making it more widely available and more platform agnostic is a pure win.

Huh . . . come to think of it, MMOs are already the "Games that can only be done on the cloud" that Stadia was talking about creating before Google folded the game creation part of Stadia . . .

Linux vendor System76 releases the Pangolin, a full AMD laptop

I don't really use my laptop to game. At least, not for what you'd call actual gaming . . . just easy time-waster kinds of things, which don't need much graphics power. This actually might be just the kind of thing I'll be in the market for soonish, since my existing laptop is showing signs of wear (since last time I clumsily knocked it off where it was sitting).

Quoting: DuncWhat a hilarious little game. Who knew bomb disposal guys give up because it's raining?

Quoting: Purple Library GuySeattle? Rain paradise?! Bah. As a Vancouverite we concede nothing to our neighbour city on that score! There's no way they have more rain than we do.
I looked this up once when someone on another site was banging on about the rainfall in Seattle. Average monthly precipitation in inches: Seattle [External Link], 37.49; Glasgow [External Link], 49.01. And look at average annual hours of sunshine: Seattle 2,169.7, Glasgow 1,265.

It's practically a desert.

(Oh, and you're right [External Link].)
I think you meant to say annual, not monthly.
I have to get to Glasgow one of these days--I think my wife and I have it planned for our next-but-one vacation trip. Seems homey climate-wise and people-wise and I keep hearing good things about it.
