While I love VR, Linux support is pretty much terrible. HTC Vive works on Linux but sadly there's no power management for lighthouses (they contain gyroscopes which causes them to make noise so you want them to turn off while they're not in use). Oculus has no Linux support. There are also some Windows Mixed Reality headsets. WMR is more like platform so those headsets are not from Microsoft, but I don't think they will have Linux support either.
Games like The Lab and Beat Saber work only thanks to new Steam Play, but VR developers in general don't release Linux versions of their VR titles. Even some games that already have Linux versions don't support VR on Linux.
Problem is that VR is already pretty small market and VR on Linux is much smaller than that. Despite that I'm glad to see there is some hope.

Quoting: N30NThat would be awesome if you could come up with something. I didn't have a chance to try a different hardware. But issue has been already reported here Linux/Fedora25 black menu screen [External Link].Quoting: JOndra91Well, thing is that on Optimus enabled systems it's different.Luckily I've the hardware to test such a setup. When I find the time I'll try replicate and see if I can find a fix.
Quoting: N30NYeah, it would have been OK, if it actually worked! Good idea, terrible implementation. And I'm not the only one having troubles with it.Quoting: JOndra91CoherentUI is the biggest mistake that PA suffers from. Software like that shouldn't exist. That's a bit harsh. It's actually a great interface library, particularly for mod-ability. Linux support hasn't been perfect though, that's for sure. :(

And as far as I know --software-ui was recommended and it ran perfectly for be before update.

Quoting: N30NWell, thing is that on Optimus enabled systems it's different. When I run PA using primusrun (on Nvidia), gui is messed up and has a lots of artifacts. Maybe it's because coherent runs as separate process and it's probably using Intel graphics. When using optirun, it's exactly same as with --software-ui. And no, the window resize trick doesn't work. It's just black screen in menu with social bar.Quoting: JOndra91I can't play on updated system, because --software-ui now gives me black menu and I can't do anything. You shouldn't be using --software-ui with Nvidia, It's known not to work and shouldn't be required. Again does toggling fullscreen help with the black screen issue?
Without --software-ui, game is too dark on Intel HD and doesn't render properly on Nvidia.

I loved PA Titans. Unfortunately it suffers due to poor support and bugs (which are even worse on Optimus enabled laptop).
I can't play on updated system, because --software-ui now gives me black menu and I can't do anything.

It's still playable on Ubuntu 16.04.

Quoting: GuestI didn't mean the hype thing and missing features. The main problem with No Man's Sky is that there isn't really much to do, so the game becomes boring after a while.Quoting: JOndra91Looks promising, hopefuly it won't be another No Man's Sky.I don't think so. This game hasn't been over-promising anything. They've had gameplay livestreams showing exactly what's in the game in its current state; everything they've shown off is in the game and seems to work as expected as best as I can tell.
That said.. I watched a livestream and I still haven't really figured out what the point of the game is. Seems very much like a sandbox with no real goal. You walk/drive around and collect resources to expand your outpost.. but beyond that there doesn't seem to be much else. No real threats other than dust storms. There's no free space flight.. they've said this is just a maybe.
I dunno.. I'll be holding off on this one until I see some reviews.

In my case, I do have Windows installed next to Linux but I haven't used it for a few months now. I had to pay for it when I bought my laptop anyway and it's good to have it just in case (and for Fallout). So I guess there might be others in similar situation.

It's also nice to see a healthy 68.24% of people do not dual-boot, which surprised me, but that's a damn healthy number to see.Well, the dual-boot statistic doesn't really give you much useful informations. The reason is that you know nothing about it's usage. Of course, high percentage is good but it doesn't necessarily mean that lower percentage is bad.

I don't think this game really needs campaign. I had lot of fun just playing against AI. And then I started to play ranked 1v1 matches which was good as well.
