Wayland has some interesting issues, and most of them can be resolved by switching to x11, but the most important thing in life is to have the Wayland Plasma Wiggle Mouse feature enabled.

Lmao I'm glad I'm not the only one that does stuff like this! I think my latest one was when I couldn't figure out why cachyos was suddenly compiling OpenSSL from the AUR, and ended up breaking enough stuff that it was easier to just pick a different distro.
Currently running steamOS on my desktop to celebrate the new steam machine announcement, and fedora kinoite on the laptop with the nvidia graphics, because it kinda reminds me of steamOS. Until the next distro hop!

I recently picked up WH40K: Darktide on sale, so I've been enjoying replaying that. I used to have it on Gamepass when it first came out, but thankfully I was able to actually buy it this time, and for half the price of a monthly Gamepass subscription. It's basically Left 4 Dead in the Warhammer 40K universe, with some extra RPG-style character progression.
Other than that, I'm still trying to catch up on Vampire Survivors DLC, and have also been mixing in some Megabonk here and there. I have been hearing a lot about Arc Raiders lately though (and not just on here lol) so maybe I'll give that a shot next payday.

Just got mine in the mail, and it was as easy to swap out as it looked in the video. It also fits fine in the original case with the bigger back buttons, which is nice. Definitely pleased with the result!

According to https://bp.io/app/howroguelike/ [External Link] Halls of Torment is a Roguelikelikelike. However you call it, this new content looks pretty rad and I'm excited to check it out!

This is definitely more my speed.
Swapping the front and back plastic: a little over an hour
Swapping just the back plastic: a little under 5 minutes
Also it looks like they have added a release date on some of the shop links from the video. Amazon US is saying "This item will be released on September 10, 2025", AliExpress has a delivery date of Sep 12-21, and eBay says Estimated between Mon, Sep 15 and Fri, Sep 19. So it looks like it'll be available pretty soon!

Happy Birthday! I'm really glad I found this site, as it's been a huge help getting my desktop switched over to Linux as well as helping me tweak my Steam Deck (plus I just like the site layout and the articles are fun to read). Here's to many more!

Just found out about ProtonUp-Qt a couple weeks ago, so much easier than trying to manage proton versions by hand.
Free to play Marvel Rivals is out now on Steam and works on Steam Deck / Linux (Steam Deck has issues though)

My experience was pretty much the same. I got the "unsupported windows version" and "out of date video drivers" popups, black intro screen, and blank EULA box, but was able to click through them and play on the steam deck. Tried out Namorbjorn for a bit and remembered how bad I am at hero shooters. It did run pretty smoothly though, and it was nice that it recognized the controller and changed the prompts to show the right buttons to press.
Check out Proton-Sarek if you have an older GPU for Windows games on Linux

This worked out great for me on a 10 year old Thinkpad T540p with a Haswell i5! My Steam games stopped erroring out after switching over to this. Thanks for the tip!
