If I want to turn off shattered retreats and coalitions will that disable achievements? I really detest these and will probably stick with 2.4.5 if that is the case.

I still use wine when playing some of the older GOG games like Fallout or Alpha Centauri. I very rarely use it for steam though, too annoying to have to install a separate steam client every time.

This game looks AWESOME. I'm starting to buy more and more games with SteamOS in mind and this game looks perfect for a couch shooter.

I can't say I've been disappointed this year because there are so many great games out to play. I will say though that I will be EXTREMELY disappointed if Medieval II: Total War does not come out on Linux. I'm hyped about that one.
