Quoting: brokeassbenthis is the only one that has always troubled me.Ok, that sounds pretty weird. Apparently your graphics card also has 2GB VRAM so that shouldn't be a problem. My game hasn't crashed for about 6 months.

Quoting: buenaventuraFor someone without very good aim, this game's mechanics + a (as far as I've heard) toxic community keeps me firmly attached to my TF2, where I can be useful by being smart rather than having cyborg arms for aiming :PI don't believe many have fundamentally bad aim. It usually comes down to having a bad mouse, low fps or too high sensitivity.

Quoting: brokeassbenThis is the one game that has consistently crashed for me since Steam for Linux was released. I've tried it on four different (but all Ubuntu-based) distros and numerous different nVidia drivers. Always has some micro stutters then crashes after playing for 45-90 minutes. Googled the hell out of this issue, but can't seem to find a fix. So now I only play deathmatch and that's pretty boring. This games has numerous memory leaks, although supposedly they are now fixed. Try disabling AA. How much RAM do you have?
Here's my own Linux OpenGL vs Vulkan test for Dota 2, not much difference for me

Also, I don't think it's because of less stress on CPU (unless you have a really bad cooling) but rather how Vulkan is multi threaded.

Quoting: melkemindMaybe, even though you're seeing slightly lower FPS, it might still be smoother performance and better use of the GPU. I'm totally speculating, but just wondering. This is actually true. FPS tends to fluctuate a lot less on Vulkan. Also input lag is greatly reduced, which really makes a huge difference in competitive games and VR.

Quoting: kshadeNope. Don't know what could be causing this tbh, I'm using Funtoo with XFCE as my DE, no Pulseaudio but that probably isn't the issue...Check if you have multicore rendering enabled or run "mat_queue_mode 2"

Quoting: kshadeI've got less than half of what I get on Windows in terms of FPS, and this is true even with low settings. You are probably using Nouveau drivers instead of Nvidia proprietary ones.

It didn't really increase fps, but that was already on par with Windows version - if not even better. I think this update mainly addressed input lag issues, which was greatly reduced, I think.
