Anti-cheat will still be one of the biggest problems for the new Steam Machine

Trying to solve cheating this way is totally backwards.
Let people cheat!
Have a reporting system, and if an account gets reported enough times, pitch that account against other suspected cheaters.
Then have a human review their actions if necessary and ban their account.
No need to invest in anti-cheat systems, only observability.

Oxenfree is being completely removed from itch.io in October

Quoting: MicromegasAs a customer I don't know who is responsible for this breach of trust. The only thing I know is: I won't buy ANY games anymore from Itch.io. I'm serious. Itch.io is dead for me from this moment onwards.
This makes no sense at all. It's the publisher's decicion, Itch is not be blamed here.
If Itch prevented the publisher from removing the game, the publisher could simply upload a new version of the game binaries that simply does not work and the result would be the same in the end.

Don't blame itch.io, blame the shitty publisher and the shitty music industry and their shitty copyright system.

I bought the game AND the soundtrack as soon as I heard the news. Not going to play it until the game is done though.

Immersion Corporation sues Valve over Steam Deck and Valve Index haptics tech

"Intellectual property" is just plain stupid and should be scrapped altogether.

Valve should also remove haptic modules from their products, they add nothing of value.
