Quoting: BeamboomThe problem with relying these kind of things on the readers, is that nobody has played all the titles nominated - far from it. So in fact it becomes a popularity contest instead. For example, I bet my left arm that the only reason Hitman won best graphics is cause that's the game of the nominees that most own and has played. And sadly, I think that will be the case for several of the winners.
And I know I myself am guilty of this. There's even many nominated titles that I'd not even heard of before. Obviously they'd never get my vcote, even if deserved.

This is why I still firmly argue that you, Liam, should decide the most important categories, and have dedicated "readers awards" on just a few. Why? Cause you've played them all. Simple as that. You have a much, much better perspective on this than any average reader will.
Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated :).

No matter how we run it, any time users are involved it will of course depend on what they've played. Even so, it's fun for what it is.

We will likely do it differently next time.

Quoting: DoomsdayOrangeHey, IM volunteer developer here, just want to state a minor thing, Kim isnt the only person working on the game anymore. He has gathered many experienced individuals like me to volunteer with the development of the game, and since were all working for free, we dont have to run into the issue of funding. That is all.
To be clear, I only stated Kim was the sole surviving member of ZPS, I'm aware there's volunteers. I have updated the text to be clear on that.

As a quick test, the first gif has been replaced with a static image that will play when clicked. Still working on it, need to get it to show you it's actually loading when you click, but it's better than what we had before which was causing too many issues :)

Stuck the gifs together in a quick video if anyone's having major problems with the gif overlay, while I investigate:

Quoting: noxLooks very interesting, but the gifs are now constantly stopping to buffer (even after playing once). Something is weird with them. (tried in private mode too, same thing - maybe even slightly worse)
You need to click to play them now, or is this after you click? Works fine for me even on mobile.

Note: As the gifs were quite heavy, I've adjusted the article to show thumbnails that play the gif when clicked :)

Quoting: catskinsoxThat must be Liam driving on that last gif. ;)
Don't worry, I will show plenty of crashing into everything when we're able to get a look.

Quoting: KohriasWow, nice. I am definitely interested. 15+ years of development is really something.
As mentioned (in the article and now by the developer too) the game has not been in development for 15 years. The game engine was a side-project back then :)

Glad it turned into something though, very exciting.

Correction: We should be getting a look next month, with a release due in March/April. Apologies for any confusion there.
