Quoting: EikeAs always, this is Linux release year, not general release year, right?
Edit: Errr no, 2016.

All 2016 apart from "Favourite open source game", "Favourite FOSS project" and "Most anticipated game for 2017".

Quoting: Al3sDamn, I bought this game in Desura like a thousand years ago, before it went to Steam. I remember the main dev's house got robbed or something and they didn't have backups; they lost months worth of work. The first impulse they have was to drop the game and I got angry as fuck. I'm glad that at the end they kept going, it looks pretty sweet now.
I remember this well, I watched the developer have a breakdown on Twitter over it.

They learnt their lessons, they have backups and more developers now and the game has never been better. Their development pace is far quicker than it was back then too.

The game has come along so damn nicely :D

Quoting: throghWell thanks for the video. But I would appreciate having more freedom within videos or just to say in content generally speaking. Perhaps with usage of MediaGoblin [External Link], Mediadrop [External Link] or even Plumi [External Link]? Talking about freedom is one thought, being free from such monopols like YouTube is another. ;)
Video hosting requires heavy resources, it would murder our bandwith and probably increase site load quite a lot.

Then you have to get the rights from everyone included to host it and on top of that, it opens up me specifically to copyright issues.

Alright, can-it. I will not tolerate licensing wars or wars about semantics.

Saying "open source" is the only really neutral way, like Samsai said.

Any further comments arguing this will be removed, let's not turn GOL's comments into reddit please.

Quoting: pbYeah, ok, but with dots? I though they used slashes, but I guess it's not a rule:

People use all weird kinds of combinations, but the us is always Month Day Year with dots, slashes or whatever to separate them.

Survival racing game 'Distance' has a big update with ghost car and replay support
27 Dec 2016 at 9:21 pm UTC

Quoting: GuestI don’t get why people like this game. You can accelerate all the time without skidding or hitting walls, there is no speed sensation, the lack of opponents makes it even more boring, and the controls and camera are a pain (when flying). At least when I tried it a while ago…
It's a survival racer, so you're fighting the track and the environment. And also, it is actually quite easy at times to smash right into a wall, depending on the track you play on.

The lack of opponents is only in the single-player, but if you play more than 2 tracks in the adventure mode, you will begin to understand the draw of it. The tracks and environments are really well done, as is the music to keep your foot tapping away.

If you jump in online, it's hilarious. We've done it a few times and watching people fail is great :D
