Porradaria Upgrade & Porradaria 2: Pagode of the Night, two of the worst platformers I've ever played
13 Dec 2016 at 5:33 pm UTC

To confirm something publicly: I deleted the developers comment on here, since they don't understand that I review games across two different Steam accounts (one of them is 100% private only two people know about).

I wanted to save them from a PR disaster calling me out on idiotic things because I really dislike the game, but here it is: https://twitter.com/CleanWaterDev/status/808721389385609216 [External Link]

To re-iterate, a lot of my game time in various games is done on a 100% private account because I get hassled for news on my main account.

Edit: What's hilarious, is that the first screenshot shown in the article is from after you get the "map" the achievement is supposed to give you. Oh and this is the map...

Quoting: oldrocker99This is grand news. I too bought the game in the 80s (!) and will say that it's worth buying on GOG so you can get the manual.

On Ubuntu:sudo apt install 7kaa
The 80's? Isn't the game from 97? Remember playing it as a demo I got on a PC-gamer CD.
Correct, it was from 1997 :)

Quoting: edoThat "Soon, my friends, soon." is about Vulkan on Serious Sam 3, nothing related to multithreading

Btw, Dx11 is still a bit faster on my pc than vulkan. Hopefully on the next beta update that will improve
Yep, total misread on my part, fixed it.

Linux Gaming in 2016, an end of year review

Quoting: sarmadYou forgot to mention the demise of Steam Machines this year. With Valve rarely mentioning it, and an Alienware rep mentioning they "do not need SteamOS anymore", it looks certain that Steam Machines are a thing of the past.
Didn't forget, just didn't want an end of year review to be overly negative. Doesn't do us any good, and they never said they don't need SteamOS any more. He said the need "isn't as great", there's a big difference.

Quoting: hellscyth142The omgbuntu link was broken for me. They don't have ssl enabled, so you have to change it to regular http://, not https://.
Odd, fixed cheers.

Linux Gaming in 2016, an end of year review

Quoting: kilbithIt's sad that the article mentions some open-source games but not the most played one : Minetest [External Link] (still being actively developed and a new release is imminent).
As I've said before on that subject I am not a fan of it, so to me it is not a highlight.

That is the older version though.

Quoting: tuubiSilly Liam, you're going to feel like a right idiot when all kinds of interesting stuff happens in the next two weeks and you've already gone and written this review as if the year's done and dusted.
Here's to hoping I have to do another ;)

Quoting: Xzylummm the backpack is gamebreaking, a 6 slotted carry is a nightmare a 8 slotted one is going to be down right ridiculous. BTW this game a game we all should throw money at.. I know I do, so much so.
Game changing yes of course, game breaking? I'm not so sure there.

What about them makes you feel it ruins the experience exactly?

Quoting: tuubiAre you sure it's actually an adventure game and not another sandbox?
I have no idea since I haven't played it, going by what they call it until i get that chance.
