Woops, fixed.

Quoting: minjThere have been too many kickstarter/pre-order related articles lately, imho.
Someone is never happy :P. There has been 3 Kickstarter posts in the space of an entire week, is it really too many? I was specifically asked by Patreon supporters to mention some Kickstarters fyi.

Quoting: GuppyHopefully they took their time to fix the issue where you have to remove your preference files every time you launch - it's getting a little tedious having to run across the house to delete files every time the kid swaps between games.
That's weird, I've never had to do that.

A look at 'Pro Pinball Ultra' now it's Linux, some quick thoughts for you

Quoting: GrifterWhen you start it up there's a tiny "i" button in the bottom right corner, it has the backstory and instructions on how to play.
Thanks, edited that bit to mention it. Funny, I would never have guessed those would have been listed there, since I did go to it and check, but I thought it was just a load of story nonsense. Fancy putting that right down below a bunch of pointless story you have to scroll through.

Albion Online is to get another impressive content update named 'Faye'

Quoting: tumocsVery nice stuff in the update. I still just don't feel like hopping in again before the next wipe. I don't want to do the massive cloth farming for three times (not necessary, I just like doing it).
Nice cloth you got there, be a shame if someone where to...come along and take you down ;)

I've said it before and I will say it again, I think Albion Online [Official Site] is going to be amazing for Linux gamers in desperate need of an MMO.
To be honest and realistic - this won't be a cure for the complete lack of mainstream MMOs on Linux. It's a niche game for a niche audience. Some people might have fun with it, and that's great. But a replacement for a true AAA MMORPG, it ain't.

Personally, it's too heavy on PvP and guild content and too light on questing and appealing looks for me. It's quite an eyesore, actually. Ok, so is WoW, but still.
I totally agree. It's not going to cure anything, but it is a fun MMO game. I think once it's released and people properly try it, a lot of people are going to be surprised by it. My point is, we are so limited in our selection for games like this, that an entry in the genre (and quite a good one) is pleasing.

Quoting: NaibAnyone familiar with CannonFodder (old Amiga game). Is this game like this and if so how close to cannonfodder?
there are a handful of games from my childhood that were 2nd to none (forget graphics, gameplay...) this was one of them
It's not really like it, you only control a single person at a time.

Ah yes you're right, added that in too :)

Gunmetal Arcadia Zero, a slick retro action platformer is now out for Linux on Steam

Quoting: KeyrockHas Nintendo tried to sue them yet? I ask because holy **** does that look like a copy & paste of Zelda 2, right down to the color palette and attack animations. That's not to say it's a bad thing. I'm one of the wacky people out there that really liked Zelda 2.
You can't sue because a game uses a similar colour choice or animations. The name, the world and all the art is entirely original. It's obviously inspired by such games, since it's a retro throwback, but it's far from a copy of Zelda.
