Tyranny, the massive new RPG from Obsidian Entertainment releases today day-1 on Linux, our review

Quoting: PlintslchoAgain, from its own description and the reviews. How many times have I read by now that in this game the player can finally be evil- something that's allegedly not possible in so many other RPGs (I think the player can act quite like an a$$hole in PoE as well).

It sounded to me that the freedom of choice was only to choose between fractions/certain actions but to act evil in the end nonetheless.

I'd be glad if there is more to the game and a wider variety of choices than just being evil.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye on this game.
You generally always have the choice to let people go, you aren't necessarily evil, you're just in an evil world. You are to judge people, how you do that is your choice.

Quoting: SalvatosNow that's something I was very much hoping to hear. One question though, is Kyros a man or a woman? The first paragraph left me confused.
Kyros is a he, a she, an it and everything. No one really knows, or do they?

Thanks for submitting it, was a nice read and you echo what I usually write about it all.

Quoting: GuestTypo in the article: "it's sweet" -> its.
Corrected. I really need a feature for people to submit corrections to not fill up comments with it some time...

Quoting: liamdaweThe only one of which you mentioned on Linux is Kotor II (Star Wars), which doesn't really let you be that bad.
In that case, add Saints Row to the list. Enough to satisfy any immediate need for political incorrectness.
Still, that's only one, which is my entire point. There really isn't that many on Linux (which is what we are all about here), having one like this is great for us.

Quoting: ZekThePenguinI don't really agree with the notion that there are so very few bad guy games. Granted, a lot of games lean more toward anti-hero, but there has been no shortage of evil games.
Hate, GTA, WoW, Fable, many Star Wars games, and others allow players to be bad guys.
It's fun to play good guys and bad guys. This particular game looks terrific, and I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Quoting: raverrebelToo bad that there is no multiplayer (especially local split screen, like Divinity has, would be nice)..
In this type of game, it just wouldn't work.

Well, Steam didn't contest my refund request, I hope the developer takes note of my comment on it.
