Total War: WARHAMMER is still coming to Linux, being ported by Feral Interactive

@dmantione, okay we get what you think by now, let's cool it. I am personally fedup of pro-AMD/anti-Feral comments filling up every time we get Feral port news. AMD has issues and not good enough driver support often, I consider that a fact and if you don't you need to pull the wool from your eyes. AMD drivers constantly have issues with too many games to say it's not an issue with AMD.

On top of that, Feral haven't even released what specs it will support, AMD might even be supported.

So, lets get back on topic of yay new port shall we.

This is good news, as I’ve been pretty happy with Feral’s porting work
You are? Performance issues an AMD incompatibilities are the rule rather than these exception with these guys.
I am not an AMD user, nor have I ever claimed to be any time I've reported on them. I do not own any AMD GPU to test on.

Also, it's usually issues with AMD's drivers, like Catalyst being too unstable and Mesa not having higher enough OpenGL. Can't blame Feral for that.

As for performance: I will take 20 ports with lower performance over 5 ports that had to be rewritten from the core to properly support OpenGL that took 10x longer to come out. Feral are boosting up our game numbers significantly with bigger names.

Let's not have this turn into a flame fest.

Edit: Spelling errors.

That reddit post was done after the Steam survey is usually done, plus the survey looks like it was for VR.

Ps. Please folks, never try to "game" a survey like this, it doesn't help anyone. Only fill it if you're asked, don't try to force it.

Quoting: CybolicAnother game for Linux that doesn't feature Linux in the trailer. I do wonder why this happens so often :/
Well, it says Steam and GOG, it doesn't say Windows, Mac or Linux. It's not that Linux is being left out.

Quoting: GuestIndeed with vsync it should drop directly to 30 FPS.
No, it won't. I've run VSYNC in many games, it means it cannot go higher than your refresh rate.

Quoting: Tak
Quoting: tuubiOtherwise you'd drop down to 30 as soon as it goes below 60.
Not how vsync works.
I would listen to Tak (he works for Unity ;))
