We should see this coming by now.
Is that generic frustration or were there any indication of this happening to Cossacks?
Generic.

Ballistic Overkill FPS updated, lots of changes and still works great

Quoting: pete910The update has spoiled the game play though :(
It does seem to have a few issues after playing it

- Health spawns too quickly
- Health should not be inside the team safe area, makes camping too easy
- Maps feel too small for free for all

It's still really fun, but like a lot of Early Access games it needs balancing to fix those issues

I really hope that combat isn't as messy as it is in Pillars, that was really annoying.
Why did you find it messy? Because of the real time?
I've been playing the Baldur's Gate series since forever and I felt right at home with Pillars' combat. The first thing to do though is set up autopause rules, f.e. when an enemy is sighted, dies etc.
It just felt weird, hard to explain it properly. To me having so many characters around, all happening in real time with having to pause to give commands and study the battle, it just felt like a mess.

I do need to give it another try sometime soon though.
Combat was a nightmare for me as well. But it seems that around the first or second DLC they released a patch that provided AI for the companions so that you don't need to babysit them any longer. I gave it another go recently and this time I am really enjoying it.
Yeah that was what I was waiting for to give it a proper go again, and I have been planning to. So my thoughts are probably a little out of date right now.

Quoting: CybolicSmall correction: The HTC Vive was also promising Linux support after release day. I haven't checked the order page in a while, so I don't know what the promise is currently.
A correction on what? What I said was true. It was listing Linux up until release day.
