Ah the dreaded "middleware" reasoning again.
Why on earth do developers not look into first and plan ahead?
So frustrating.

Quoting: TuxeeThis makes me even more concerned, the actual quote is:Quoting: sergkWell, check this comment from one of the devs:As usual. "We are completely clueless, but we promise nonetheless." As a burned "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" backer I will definitely refrain from pre-release funding.

It's something we're exploring, but the main problem is that none of our team members run LinuxSomeone better get Linux bloody set-up if they hit that goal.

Thanks guys.
I know I butt-heads with some people at times in comments, but we are all here for the same cause and it's really pleasing when we all come together and things like this happen. This is all I want :)

Quoting: BTREPretty weak list, Liam :PThere's plenty more obviously as pointed out there's thousands, these are just the choice picks I am using for now not to tip the balance too much in my own favour. It's also aimed at creating discussion as usual :)

Check out this AMD video talking about Vulkan (and DirectX12)

I actually had this argument in the linux_gaming reddit Discord channel. Gutigen claimed Vulkan would basically change everything and mean more ports, i disagreed and I got banned.
A graphics API does not equal a port. You need all the other pieces on top of developer AND publisher approval.

Quoting: InspectorGidgetAMD is definitely looking more appealing as time goes on.A graphics API is only one bit of the puzzle, which is why it aggravates me when I see people claim a game using OpenGL or Vulkan instantly means a port as it creates hype and confusion. Not saying that's what you're doing of course as you clearly didn't know.
However, I must have misunderstood something. I though that if a game used Vulkan, we would just have it on Linux too... But that obviously isn't the case with DOOM.
