Minimon Monster Catcher Released In Steam Early Access (UPDATED)

Yes, reviews do tend to level out after a few, but that's not the point.
We always point out when people do shady/stupid things, we always have, and always will. These are my first impressions, the first impression I got was someone claiming they are a developer writing up a completely bogus review.

Quoting: pbBut the dev's review is just one review. If I'm not sure about the game. I just wait until a dozen or more reviews appear, it's not uncommon that a game has 100% positives out of 1-2 first reviews and then goes to 50% after more people give their opinion. So in my opinion it's good to write an article about a new game, share one's first impressions, give some opinion, but to center the article around the fact that a dev left the first review? Not really. As pointed out, the guy isn't even a developer, he's nothing to do with it other than doing a little bit of testing before release.

Quoting: pbIt's really childish to judge the game based on that a developer wrote a review on it. Especially if you're not even sure if it was a developer's review in the first place. You say childish, I say cautious. If people are going to buy something, they need to know it's a legit game and not some hunk of junk with developers fudging reviews. It's quite important.

Quoting: CybaCowboyThe Web site [External Link] still says it's "coming soon"... Is this the alpha or the beta, to which you're referring? You need to either use the PPA, or compile it. Updated the article to mention this.

I have updated the article, real shame developers have to deal with people claiming they are something they aren't.

Quoting: morbiusI was very much into this game until I've seen on Steam that it's a Paradox-style DLC fiesta. I hate developers who keep endlessly nickel-and-diming their customers.I don't see it being an issue? Why the heck would you ignore a game because they work on giving you additional content that is completely optional?

It's a major issue affecting a lot of people. Not everyone will see the email, and we would rather be safe than sorry, and it's a good reminder for people.

Quoting: SkullyNot sure why you think we should change our passwords, nothing in that message says anything about other people being compromised, just you. And I haven't received such a mail.Exactly what Cyba.Cowboy said.
Not even sure why it's an article on here.

Quoting: BeamboomWell, if we are to be pedantic even Macs are PCs these days.Yeah, this is pretty much my point, but it's a dead argument as most developers don't really care about their terminology, it just annoys me with announcements like this, as it just confuses matters.

Quoting: N30N@liam, I don't think this should be classified as a [RTS](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-time_strategy [External Link]).I don't really agree with Wikipedia on this one I'm afraid. I see an RTS as any strategy game that you control at least one unit that builds things and isn't turn-based :P

Quoting: SkullyLiam I see you always cheering about Alt+tab working in games.Hey, I'm allowed to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
Alt+Tab works almost all the time since people stopped using the old version of SDL.
And if you do find a game that doesn't. Bring up the steam overlay and bam you can Alt-Tab in any game.
