Looks very interesting. Actually I dont like the never-playable-again idea, cause its stoping you from revisiting the game at a later time.
And I hope they somehow prevent abusing the population idea. I can imagine some people having fun dying all the time to reduce population and spoiling the game for others.

It was a bit quiet about upcoming Triple-A Linux games lately. Very nice too see we have this awesome news around. Will defintly buy this one (as long as its native).

Thank you for an very interesting article and thanks to the developers for giving us some insights!
Actually numbers are not as high as we would wish but I think this is more likely a matter of time. When looking at the current stituation with the rise of Linux ports and SteamOS on the horizon there is a lot of potential.

Speculation: Shadow Of Mordor Appears In A Seemingly Linux Focused App Bundle On SteamDB

Seriously, I can imagine that Valve is choosing the games for these screenshots wisely and not without purpose. Steam Big Picture mode is closely connected to SteamOS.

That screenshot is for Steam Big Picture, so means nothing for SteamOS, but it would be nice. One more objective argument and you will be dissmissed from the SteamOS hype train! :P

Actually, i already was expecting this somehow. Their has been a certain (officially) SteamOS Screenshot a while ago listing Shadow of Mordor in the games which was bit like teasing a Linux port. As I recall the same procedure was happing with another game already ported (Civ 5?). And some guys were also connecting the Feral radar hints with Shadow of Morder. As for me I was already that convinced that I added the game to my steam wishlist recently, although I only buy Linux games.
Btw, I am also expecting Payday 2 because it was also teased on SteamOs Screenshot a while ago. Take a look at this:

Maybe all Linux games soon. *fingers crossed*

Steam Hardware Survey For January 2015

The numbers on steam make wonder. As you can read in the previous "Steam Hardware Survey For December 2014" article the Linux percentage from December was at 1.16%. Now in January it is at 1.09% but the change is stated -0.01% where it is actually -0.07%. I noticed these mismatch also in some other months last year.
Anyway, I had the luck to particpate in the steam survey under linux this month (it is the second time for me).
