Putting aside whether or not they actually have a case here, what do they aim to actually acheive through these actions? I for one wouldn't ever consider buying one of their games after this and if they were to succeed in their injunction halting Ark development and manage to get it pulled from the store, I would imagine most of the players of the game would reach the same conclusions. Considering that Ark based on just today's figures is the 5th most played game on Steam (based on current number of players) with 51,401 players at it's peak today (not even taking other platforms into account), that's a hell of a lot of lost sales for their future projects compared with what they may gain in damages.
Just because you can sue someone, certainly doesn't mean you should and I think in this case they may be cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Quoting: neowiz73Although I would prefer a wine port of RT2 though, that would be nice :)Have you tried OpenRCT2 [External Link]? Just need to install the original (installer works fine with Wine), tell it where to find the files and can play it natively - they've even made a few improvements to the original :)

Glad I held off preordering - should have seen this coming when the initial betas were Windows only. Oh well, got Parkitect to keep me busy - at least they've kept to their promise of a Linux version rather than the same old story of 'not being ready' - AKA pushed to the side so they're only working on the Windows version and then when they finally get round to doing it it takes far longer than it would have done if they had worked on it at the same time.

A video codec was the reason for not getting the port? Surely it would have been easier to just switch codecs?

Meh I'm OK with this, after all the hiccups along the way with changing the developer several times and such a few extra months is nothing if it means we get a more polished game at launch.

Can't say I've played any games which have disappointed, more disappointed about games that were supposed to be coming out that haven't yet - Carmageddon, Witcher 3 being the two I was most looking forward to.
