Quoting: AudiAh thanks for clarifying. It's like comparing a 20 year old perfected product with a 3 month old baby. That's amazing results then !Quoting: janpanDid you also use vulkan on Windows or did you run it on Directx on windows. The Windows version has no Vulkan option. It is DX11 only.
Is this a vulkan vs vulkan comparission or a vulkan vs directx ?

I wonder if the game wil perform better on Linux, since there is so much crap with directX and this game with stutters and lag. I have a seperate hdd with windows on just for this game and the game is playable and a load of fun, but I do experience the frame drops and stutters in certain parts of the game, even though I am running a GTX 970 OC with a 3.6Ghz 6 Core i7 and 16GB of ddr4 ram. I really hope that it performs better on my arch setup !

The band NERO has an album "Welcome Reality". On this album, the first song on the track list is 2808. Notice the "808", the second track is Doomsday. Notice the "Doom" in doomsday. (To be honest, I'm sure they got this from the anime "Cyber City Oedo 808" which take place in the year 2808 in Tokyo, not mars unfortunately)
Doom confirmed.

Quoting: megasthenes"About 808 and music, the TS-808 is a well known guitar pedal effect from Japanese guitar makers Ibanez, it is a type of distortion/overdrive. It is well know for being a key part of Stevie Ray Vaughan's signature sound. Today, the 808 number and it's green color still refer to that particular sound."Well, if you look further at the 808, we can find the following :
Doom.
because of the soundtrack.
