Gnome devs should better think about the question why so many people need multiple add-ons to get gnome the way they need it. Just look at Ubuntu. They made the Gnome desktop much more usable with a few tweaks.
Better adopt gnometthat less tweaks and addons are needed.

Personally I don't like the new design. Instead of improving application overview or the zooming out and in or the activities button they changed just for sake of change.

Quoting: SchattenspiegelWow...just...wow...roflExactly my thoughts too.
"6 separate user research exercises"
...and they have not even figured out the most basic of design flaws...
The "activities" button
................................... and the
.............................................................................................button to open the application drawer
......................................................................................................... are on opposite sides of the screen.
And that is just one of the problems.

Quoting: GuestSounds like I have to tinker with Tumbleweed again :)Quoting: theghostI really liked and used Antergos a long time. I would really like to use EndeavorOS as successor but unfortunately they replaced the installer of Antergos with Calamares. But Calamares offers no option to encrypt your hard drive in combination with an unencrypted boot. The only two distributions which offer this are Ubuntu and Fedora. So I will stick with them. It's possible in openSUSE, too (with custom partitioning). And Tumbleweed is a really great choice if you are looking for a quite up-to-date but still rock-solid rolling release....
As for EndeavorOS - never heard of it  So the article is greatly appreciated, I'll have a look at it at some point!

Runs really smooth with Proton Experimental, even on my old cpu. I expected that I have to upgrade but 30fps is ok for me on high settings.
I don't know which game you guys played but I haven't encountered a bug in my first 10 hours. So I wouldn't call it a buggy mess. Story wise, this game is totally great.
I don't regret that I bought it.
