Though these types of projects are awesome and have their place, Parkitect is way better graphically and engine-wise - taking the best of RCT games and adding their own twist. Seriously, if you like these kind of games (like I do) - support the Partitect devs - who have supported Linux since day 1.

I play a few times a week, at least. It really is a great game and the Meta is always shifting to keep things interesting. I bought the season pass for it as well; totally NOT necessary, but I don't mind supporting Valve's Linux efforts.

Had anyone successfully installed this on Ubuntu? I'm running KDE Neon (18.04) and can not get this thing to build.

Picking this up now, based on the Dev's awesome responses here along with an interesting premise, after finding it in my Steam store's recommendation queue. I was going to wishlist it, but decided to purchase instead. Thanks for listening to the community and for supporting Linux natively.

Quoting: DraconicroseI really like Megaquarium but I had to stop my let's play of it because of waning interest. The expansion brought it back though so now I get to play both the original campaign and the expansion campaign at the same time. XD It's here if anyone is interested: let's play Megaquarium: freshwater frenzy [External Link].Thanks - Added to my 'watch later' list. I'll check it out

It's worth noting that for those of us who run KDE Plasma, Snaps (and Flatpaks, for that matter) - Can be enabled or disabled with the click of a button in the Discover software center.
See ---> KDE Plasma Discover Sources Settings [External Link]
Also worth noting are the reasons why someone might want to run certain apps as a Snap. For desktop users, a good use case might be the need to run an older LTS, like 18.04 (I'm looking at you, KDE Neon), but needing an updated version of a certain app. Or, in a production environment, having a standardized version of said application.
For a singular application, I'd personally would rather run as a Snap that going through the hassle of adding a PPA and dealing with the potential problems that said PPA may cause later on during a distribution upgrade.
TL/DR: Use KDE Neon
