Live service games are either a huge success, like Fortnite, or a financial disaster, like every other game that isn't Fortnite. There is no in-between.

Same. I've been using it for a few years, and it just works.

As for this handheld, more competition is generally good for consumers, but I think these competitors need to do something to set themselves apart from the Steam Deck, because I don't see how this handheld is a better option.

It's an impressive list of changes. In the official patch notes, items with a star next to them denote changes based on player feedback, so the developers are definitely listening.

Telling Linux users to dual boot so they can benchmark their hardware in Windows is a strange suggestion. We want to benchmark our operating systems and not just the hardware. I'm not sure how someone who specializes in benchmarking software doesn't understand that.

People make too big a deal about age transitions and civ swaps. It is, in the end, just another choice among the hundreds you make during the course of a game to pick new bonuses to compliment your overall strategy. I really like it.
