It's an impressive list of changes. In the official patch notes, items with a star next to them denote changes based on player feedback, so the developers are definitely listening.

I don't even like tipping at restaurants even though it's customary in the US.

If GoG is that hard up then they should simply raise prices instead of rattling the tin cup.

Maybe the new owners will be less restrictive about what mods they will allow. That would be a positive change.

Telling Linux users to dual boot so they can benchmark their hardware in Windows is a strange suggestion. We want to benchmark our operating systems and not just the hardware. I'm not sure how someone who specializes in benchmarking software doesn't understand that.

Search engines are getting worse, so OpenWebSearch funded by the European Union want to fix it

I'm reminded of the famous quote by Ronald Reagan, "One of the most terrifying phrases in the English language is, 'I'm from the government, and I'm here to help.'" Frankly, I have no faith that any government organization -- and especially the European Union -- will be able to fix the Internet. The only thing governments ever offer as a solution is more control and less freedom, and that's rarely a good thing. Just look what happened to this site. I'm honestly surprised that comments to articles are still allowed.
