I'm surprised screen off downloads wasn't a day one feature, but I guess better late than never.

Anti-cheat will still be one of the biggest problems for the new Steam Machine

Personally, I think running an operating system that can't be easily exploited the way anti-cheat developers want is a good thing -- improved security is one of the reasons I use Linux in the first place -- but then I have almost no interest in multiplayer games, so this issue doesn't really impact me.

If your game doesn't FULLY work on the new 2026 STEAM MACHINE, you are ineligible to be in the FEATURED GAMES BILLBOARD on the HOMEPAGE.
Great solution... assuming your goal is to get Valve sued for monopolistic practices.

Talking point - what have you been playing lately?

Been playing The Outer Worlds 2. Fun game, not "woke" like some are saying, and runs great on desktop Linux and the Steam Deck.

Also, many hours of Animal Crossing: New Leaf on my Nintendo 3DS.

Have a the opening theme from the source material to see and hear why I am underwhelmed
This looks like a low budget game through and through, so it's likely they couldn't afford the rights to the theme music and are using a royalty free music library instead. I also suspect that Voyager itself was cheaper to license than the more popular original series, The Next Generation, and Deep Space Nine. Or maybe the developers are just huge Voyager fans.

Now if they really want this to sell, they'll include a 7 of 9 strip poker mini-game!
