For a few people like me, the game is not working at all. 3D does not draw, main menu and maps are black with artifacts, see: http://steamcommunity.com/app/268500/discussions/0/412446292761093493/ [External Link]
Still in contact with Feral, but so far they have not been able to reproduce. However, 4 users are reporting the issue.

Quoting: TheBossI did contact them on twitter about this and they did reply, but I guess they have been too busy to fix it.So, what did they reply? 352.63 ? or a 355 driver?

Quoting: Renzatic GearI just looked at the recommended specs on Feral's website, and they're recommending the 355.63 drivers to play it on.I asked Feral about this, because nvidia website does not list or provide any 355.63 driver. Same on their FTP server. I wonder if it is a typo for 352.63.

The strange thing is that I read some comments that it was working on Arch using the same drivers (361.18), so I do not know what is going on there.

I have a serious rendering bug (and contacted Feral about it) which makes it unusable. System is an i7-870 with Archlinux 64-bit, EVGA GTX970. I tried prorietary NVIDIA drivers 352.69 and 361.18, multiple resolutions, in windowed and non-windowed modes with the same issue. When I start the game, videos run fine. However there is no menu. Hitting Enter launches the introductory videos, but once the soldiers are on the ground, the map is not rendered. I ca see red/range blocks (probably the HP bars) and moving around the map or rotating using Q/E leads to their redraw. This is what I see:
Any idea?

Quoting: babaiFeral ports are still D3D to OGL convertions which is why performance penalty is there with feral games. I want to know if the XCOM2 engine is built to support OGL natively from the get go or not.XCOM 2 engine is Unreal Engine 3. As far as I know it has native Linux support.
GOL Asks: What have you been playing on Linux & SteamOS recently?

Recently I have been playing natively: Alien Isolation, Shadow of Mordor, KSP and City Skylines. Emulated via PoL/Wine: Skyrim, Dishonored. But I have plenty more, unfortunately so little time :)

This Laptop65 guy is cited as a Steamhub moderator for Paradox games:

Paradox has ported most of their games to Linux/SteamOS (Cities Skylines, Magicka 2, CK II, EU IV, Pillars of Eternity, upcoming Stellaris, etc.). Oh the irony...
Anyway, there is no need for personal vendettas, but no need to lock discussions on what was promised from the start. Gabe should really step up and clarify. The same way, Witcher 3 was promised for SteamOS and hopefully it will be made available.
