That looks very clever.

I appreciate you highlighting these smaller indie games. Lots of hidden gems out there.

Quoting: GuestThanks to Aspyr anyway, BL2 gave me a lot of hours of pure fun in single player mode.
Me too.

Sad to see Gearbox/2K not following through.

Quoting: buckysrevengeThey're also about to release another game very soon, Mesmer, which takes place in the Teslagrad/WttW universe and will have native Linux support
That is good to know! I love the world they have built.

Now I just need to go finish WttW...

No more games for the Atari VCS but they did just announce Plex support

The title "No More Games..." seems a bit misleading to me. It reads as if games will no longer play at all on the box.

The Steam Play Proton compatibility layer turns two years old

I am just plain amazed at what Valve has cobbled together into Proton from some pretty scattered projects. For Linux gamers it is a huge gift.

I just want to say a massive thank-you to all the Proton team, but also the Wine and DXVK folks. You know who you are and, yes, you all rock.

The puzzle series Hexcells gets a huge discount and dark mode

I think Hexcells hits almost the perfect balance in a puzzle game. There are many good puzzle games, but I don't think any have quite edged out the king.

That said, Patterna was a good attempt. Quite clever. (Thanks also for the Globesweeper recommendation.)

Quoting: EikeI'm not sure if I would be too keen on playing it again.
It's a one-trick pony - with a great trick.
True.

However, I have to admit to being curious exactly what they have done. Particularly if it has taken this long.

I don't think I will be able to resist firing it up again...

A Short Hike, probably 2019's most chilled game gets a boating update

I often get bored with games that look like they might be walking simulators, but this game had plenty to keep me exploring and having fun. They got the pacing just right.

An interview with Elden Pixels, creators of Alwa's Legacy and Alwa's Awakening

Thank-you to Mikael Forslind for writing such detailed answers to the interview questions. I like your attitude of "treat everyone kindly." It seems to be somewhat rare these days!

I hope you continue to have enough success to keep writing new games :-)

Rip Them Off is an upcoming blend of tower defense and satirical economic management

Quoting: Purple Library GuyThe Man is well worth mocking.
I agree! Mockery has a long and proud tradition... as long as the mockery is well-written and not just an afterthought.

Edit: I just thought the little economic model might have been able to stand on its own. It looks fun either way.
