OpenGL multithreading in Mesa is ready for wider testing

By the way, is there a best practice guide on how to file bug reports on freedesktop for games crashing? What I would try to do is posting the log of the game, a gdb trace but I don't feel like compiling Mesa etc. with debug symbols.

The Feral Linux Store, or at least the shopping cart checkout, seems to have issues today. I'm receiving 503 errors.

Even though I still feel like I really want Feral to fix Multiplayer with Windows, I'm just like: Fuck that, wanna play that game!

I also did contact Sega to get in touch with Feral to fix the issue. People, if you have Windows friends playing this game or you're just social, do the same: Ask Sega to fix the issue TOGETHER with Feral! Thanks! :)

PS: If you do like the game, consider to give a good reference to it on Steam. I'm not even playing it now but I feel like the references are not justified. But let's see. I think people just expected to get something different, instead of just appreciating something new.

Sure I want to buy the game and spent money! But please do the Windows-Linux-Multiplayer Update first. Otherwise I feel I couldn't. ;)

Quoting: razing32
Quoting: Guppy
Quoting: razing322) Germany ? The heck is happening ? I thought only games with Nazi imagery got banned (for obvious reasons)
The obvious reason being a pathetic attempt at hiding their shameful history from public view. Remember nazi in game are always the villans so there is no chance of the game glorifying it :P
Sorry but have to disagree.
I met germans and I think they apologize too much.
What the Nazis did was a horrible atrocity , but I don;t think Germany today is Germany then.
How many horrible things were done in Europe , Africa , Asia since then yet Germany is held up as the example for human wrong doing. Doesn't seem fair in my mind.
True indeed. I don't feel like begging on my knees for things that happened ages ago. Obviously it's important not to forget what happened, but I guess the best we can do is fighting this kind of things never, ever to happen again. Just like right now with the party called AFD ("Alternative für Deutschland" ) which attracted a lot of right-wing totalitarianisms and neo nazis.

So in the end life is about moving on, learn from the mistakes of the past and try to avoid them. Never get stuck in mind in the past!

PS: Yes, this kind of censorship sucks.

Feral Interactive to livestream Dawn of War III on Linux the day before release

RTS is super fine for me, more of that! We have a lack of those on Linux! If only we could play with our non-Linux-friends.... :(

The weekly GamingOnLinux versus Feral Interactive events will return with Dawn of War III

I still believe is possible to find a way to get things working. It's just a matter of time to investigate the problem and try to find a work around.

And yes, obviously it's up to Feral to talk to the publisher to make him change the original code. I'm just the customer, it's not my cup of tea. I would like to spent money, it seems like Feral Interactive doesn't want my money. How unfortunate.

That sound great! Go on! (:

As for the fact we need events to find players playing online: Will Feral Interactive fix the cross platform Multiplayer issue? Unfortunately I can't join if I don't buy the game. And even if I would like to, I'd like to have a fully functional port. Including Multiplayer. So do others.

I'll definitely sign this one up when I'm back at the computer and will ask all my friends using Linux to do so as well, if there're interested. (:

Feral announce that Dawn of War III will use both OpenGL and Vulkan

Most of the time DirectX 11 still beats Vulkan. At least for the fact that most of the time we speak about ports, no Vulkan games from the scratch. But also on Windows it's rare to see DirectX 11 being outperformed by either Vulkan or DirectX 12.

Hopefully they can fix the missing cross platform Multiplayer this time. Still no excuse for this missing feature.
