Oh well, that's nice! I might play it again if cross-platform-support is guaranteed! Unfortunately I allready own the game. I might by it on linux and gift it to a friend playing it on Linux. ;)
The Hive, a rather good looking RTS game has Linux support

Oh well, the game looks VERY promising. To be honest it really does look like a SC II clone - as long as it's a good one I wouldn't mind. Still I don't want to play alphas so I hope the game will be finished any day soon so I could enjoy it. :)

Quoting: wojtek88Hmmm hd to 4k comparison got you weird results. 4 times more pixels to render and only like 2-5 fps less?Due to CPU limitation! In 1080p the CPU may allready limit the scenario while the GPU gets bored. Therfor (with a powerful GPU) there's not much of a difference. With better vulkan optimisation of the game and driver the performance cap may be raised a bit. Therfor the gap might get bigger.
Quoting: liamdaweA GTX 1080 is a more powerful card than my Nvidia 980ti.True indeed, still the 1080 driver is not well-optimised since it's very new. The difference will grow. Except for the fact the game is CPU limited anyways.

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionFor many, DD1 has issues with mouse sensitivity when in first or third person perspective. Even with my DPI turned all the way up on my gaming mouse, it takes several sweeps across my mouse mat just to turn the camera. This isn't a problem with bird's eye perspective, however.PhysX is now OpenSource and also implemented under linux. You would just have to update the PhysX to a more recent version.
The other issue is that gems don't gravitate towards players in the Linux version. This requires PhysX and while it's not a game breaker early on, once you get farther into the game you'll be wishing they fixed that bug.

1. Will the gravity bug being fixed?
2. Will the version be equal to windows?
3. What happened to icculus?
4. Will DD2 come to Linux with proper (inhouse) support?

Why is Ryan C. Gordon aka icculus not reachable anymore? He did a lot of good ports! Of course some may have a few bugs if the companies didn't sign maintaining contracts.
Quoting: coruunThat's the actual case.Quoting: liamdaweDD1, or else I would write Dungeon Defenders 2 ;)Holy shit! I thought this game was abandoned with the release of the definitive edition (DD Eternity). At this point, I lost all remaining interest in the game, because it felt wrong that several improvements, which should have been patches, were sold as a new game. But judging from the reviews, it seems like the devs abandoned DD Eternity in favor of DD1.

It's another thing with Kickstarter in my opion: You know you'll support something risky. In many cases it's kind of creative and won't happen without your support. Still I gave up on begging Kickstart Linux games for the reason the linux fanbase got kicked ass so many times in the past.

Quoting: melkemindWow, it's been in Early Access since 2013....which is the reason I DON'T buy EA games AT ALL. Why should I pay for something that's maybe not being finished any day soon?

Finally a 1070 Steam Mashine would be nice. The 960 was only half of the 970's. It's the same with 10xx. :/ And for 800 € I'd like to have a xx70!
