This is one of the games with the highest re-play value that i ever play.
At the start can be a little confusing, but once you learn the basics, the possibilities in the character creation and development are so vast that make impossible to just play it one or two times.
The lore is fascinating too, and cannot be learned in one run.
Expect to die all the time, but don't get frustrated. In most of the cases is for your own fault xD In this game i learn the importance of mobility

Quoting: AcrophobicI've been playing Terraria lately. I've never played sandbox game before but I've heard many good thing about it. Since it was dirt cheap on last sale, I bought it. Unfortunately, I don't really like it, but somehow I can't stop playing it.
Exactly how I would describe my time with Terraria. I would even give it a the status of great game, if it wasn't for the shitty control mechanics.
I tried Terraria recently, and seriously could not get into it. Partly because of the terrible control setup (crafting especially), but partly because you can't really play it without a wiki open in another window. I think it's okay if you're playing with other, more experienced players who can show you where the fun things are at, but solo it's nothing to write home about.

So I went back to Crea [External Link], which I've had for quite a while, and found it's much more fun to play. Same concept, but a bit more cohesive and more interesting combat and crafting. It's got more of an RPG focus and a lot more quality of life stuff (like a skill to detect minerals so you're not just randomly digging for hours on end).
Well, but i think that part of the fun of the game is to discover all the strangers things that are in the giant map. When i start playing i was very confused about what to do, and i think; "well, i'm going to dig a hole to the bottom of the world" and when i found all the tunnels, and creatures there, i was amazed. And just continue exploring for hours. Later i take a look to the wiki, and craft some things, but just the necessary to survive and go deeper

Hello Penguins!
i was playing dota underlords, and that revived my taste for Dota2, so i was playing that last week. But the community here, in southamerica is so toxic that i just quit. Dota 2 is a fabulous game, but people that play it it is toxic, even in non-competitive modes, that simply don worth it.
So i was playing Rogue Legacy, and i liked. I'm not a fan of plataformers, but this one has a progression that i really like.

Quoting: g000hHaving considered getting it for a while, I finally decided to pick up NEO Scavenger [External Link] which is currently at 75% discount on Humble and includes the Steam key and DRM-Free Download.

I'm quite used to playing games with a survival-based theme. This one is tough, but also rewarding. You really have to consider your actions carefully. Also, every play-through you're able to learn from your mistakes in your previous game, and try to not make them again. There's a lot of common-sense and realism built in.

In my last game, I'd managed to find a sleeping bag, through scavenging. Crafted a sharpened spear to fight off opponents. Built a small campfire, and upgraded it to a bigger one. Made myself a sack for carrying more items during foraging missions. Killed animals, and roasted the meat. Poisoned myself by eating the wrong plants. Tried to recover with a lot of rest and warmth. The campfire attracted feral dogs, and after fighting for a while, my increasing wounds and illness brought me down. I feel I did pretty well, considering how unforgiving the game is, and the fact that I had found very few genuinely useful items during my foraging - RNG rogue-like play.

Three more Windows games I played - or rather tried - with Steam/Proton/WINE:

Fallout 3 GOTY - I tried this, but it failed for me - I'm aware that there are tweaking steps involving xlive.dll and using "/tmp/proton_run msiexec /i /path/to/xliveredist.msi" but I don't have and couldn't find "proton_run" (The command "find / -name proton_run" does not find it on my PC. Could not find it to download.) Running Debian Buster and trying latest Proton beta (after the more stable one didn't fix the problem.)

SCUM - Just a little bit more testing. Yes, it works. Mostly not bothering too much with it, because preferring better performance and game improvements before I get stuck in.

Skyrim Special Edition - A little more testing. It works, but not the NPC audio (which is quite important to enjoy the game).

Anyone know if I should delete the Proton directory if I upgrade from 3.7-3 to 3.7-6 ? (Obviously, I've restarted Steam.)
Congratulations! you make me install Neo Scavenger xD
