Very fun to play actually, the art style reminds me a bit of Another World. I would say that I wish it was open-source since it looks like it would be fun to tinker with but it seems like they are going to be developing it further (presumabley as a full game) according to the game's website.

Saints Row IV now available on SteamOS and Linux

Quoting: hummer010Alright, so I've just purchased IV. I've already got the Third from a Humble Bundle at some point, but I've never played it. Rumour has it that the Third is also coming to Linux. Should I wait for the Third to come to Linux and play them in order, or does it matter?
The Saints Row games don't really tie together in terms of story so you could play them in any order really. Saints Row 2 is also coming too (hopefully). However looking at the performance right now I'd say wait a little bit to see if the performance improves a bit because I'm getting quite a bit of stuttering (although these games are nortorious for poor PC optimisation in general so it's probobly not all down to the port).

Quoting: MurderousMincePieI wish I'd known about this sooner! I love TES series to bits and it's what I miss most from switching to Linux. But I'm slightly confused, obviously it requires the assets of the orginal Morrowind but doesn't it search for a pre-existing installation in order to run? How would you do this on Steam? Wouldn't it be impossible to install on a Linux system? Would I need to buy it on a sperate service like GOG in order to aquire it's assets?
There are ways to download the data from Steam using a tool called steamcmd or simply by running Steam in Wine. Alternatively you can download the installer from GOG and use innoextract to essentially unzip the contents into a nice directory. All you have to do then is to tell OpenMW where the data files are (it has a setup wizard).
Cheers, I'd completely forgot about WINE so I think I'll try that if I can't get SteamCMD to work.

Falcon Northwest Is Another Company To Remove Their Steam Machine Offering For Now

Really hoping that Valve stick with SteamOS. They should just have had the Alienware machine and a couple of others honestly and advertised the crap out of them. Granted I've got no marketing experience but I've seen no advertisements for these machines so I doubt people outside of the PC gaming loop will even know they exist.

Sadly, the guy seems to have gone silent on his blog about it :(
