Get lots of Mega Man games in this Humble Bundle

Quoting: TcheyI’ve never really liked Megaman games, i don’t know why, i can’t understand why or how it’s so "good".

Back in time, with the NES then the Megadrive/Genesis, i played and liked Super Mario 1-3, Earthworm Jim 1-2, Sonic 1-3, Ecco the Dolphin 1-2, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Lost Vikings (not really the same but still i wanted to name this awesome game), and many others, but Megaman never really hit me.
I've always felt the same way. I don't hate them, but they just feel kind of clunky to me.

Quoting: PeffseI've heard the new DRM is near rootkit levels of intrusive. Does that affect just Windows?
And now I definitely won't be buying them. I don't even buy EA and Ubisoft games anymore because of the external launchers. I've had quite enough of this garbage.

Sonic x Shadow Generations announced with a Sonic Generations remaster

Quoting: PenglingDid people seriously want a sequel to Shadow the Hedgehog...?
No, but I've long wanted SEGA, or even better fans, to "fix" the original game. I played it as a kid, and though it was a mess, it had potential. If people like ChaosX can fix Sonic 06, I can only imagine what they could do with Shadow the Hedgehog.

Spec Ops: The Line gets delisted on Steam - you can still buy it elsewhere for now

Quoting: whizseIt was a bit overrated i felt. Then again, I skipped all the cut scenes and had the audio muted - maybe I missed something?
Yeah, I think bacon is overrated. Then again, I have no taste buds - maybe I missed something?

Quoting: chuzzle44Man, I was so into AdventureQuest back in the day. I was a level 40 X-Guardian Werepyre if I remember correctly.
O.M.G.
I don't want to clutter up the comment section with irrelevant posts, but I just managed to get back into my AQ account. I thought for sure it was attached to my old, long dead yahoo email. But no, it was my Gmail. I reset my password. I'm in. Last played: 3927 days ago. I'm surprised it was that recently. I am in fact a level 40 X-Guardian Werepyre.

Thank you very much for letting us know about this, Pengling. I actually just saw this game in a video about games that are similar to the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Here's a link if anyone wants to watch it.

Skullgirls got review-bombed on Steam after some art changes

You have my respect for remaining neutral and just reporting on the facts Liam. The ironic thing is that had something like this happened 10 years ago, I wouldn't have cared. But after watching franchise after franchise be destroyed by absolutely incompetent morons who fundamentally don't understand the appeal of the art and want to make a few changes to meet "modern" sensibilities, I can no longer stand by while it happens. I don't have a stake in this game. I've owned it for years, barely played it tbh. But for the people that do care, I stand with you. It doesn't matter if it's just small changes, "blink and you'll miss it", any change that is made for the purpose of appealing to people who don't actually love the art for what it is should be pushed against as much as possible. Because it won't stop. They never learn. They will "fix" something you actually care about eventually.

PlayStation 3 emulator RPCS3 shows off big game fixes
4 Dec 2021 at 3:13 am UTC

Quoting: Purple Library GuyThis won't happen.
But, wouldn't it be cool if this were installed on the Steam Deck by default, Valve could get some of the developers of these games to put them up for sale on Steam (just ones that work pretty well), and the games kind-of-automatically used this the way Windows games use Proton, or at least it could be picked as an option like Boxtron? Maybe with a game-view option that would let you look through just PS3 games if you wanted?
You have no idea how much I'd love to see something like this. We've gotten emulated games from Sega and a few others, but to have companies acknowledging emulators for modern systems by selling games wrapped in said emulators, that would be epic.

Valve are easing up on what content is allowed on Steam

I wonder if the original notices were the work of a rouge employee. Valve has a pretty loose chain of command, so it's not unthinkable that there was a lack of oversight.
