I'm one of the few who can't play this on Linux, which is sad because I've been enjoying it too. Wish it would load on my Linux system though. And I'd rather not have to re-download it.
Does anyone know of the fix?

I think more blame needs to be leveled/aimed/heaped on Valve. Just what exactly have their intentions been with the whole Steam OS thing? If they truly wanted it to overthrow windows and consoles in the future, why put so little effort into marketing it and promoting it? It's not truly worth the effort for developers. Which honestly pisses me off.

Who are the devs? My first impression was, "I hate top down shooters." Then I remembered I loved Dead Nation on PS3 for some reason. So maybe I'd like this after all. (I do have a thing for zombies though.)

Just Kidding. ;)
That's all just marketing though. To me that's simply saying, you can use your Steam Link to play all your Windows based games on your couch.
I just highly doubt that Rockstar would port GTAV to SteamOS.

Quoting: GuestOMG Uncharted 4!!!!!!Quoting: cthulhusreignI know it is very unlikely but could Metal Gear Solid V be the game?Well, when GameStop announced the Steam Section planogram, Metal Gear Solid V was definitely on the shelf.

Fallout 4
Just Cause 3
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
LEGO Worlds
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Cities: Skylines
ARK: Survival Evolved
RUST
Warframe
However, the following Steam user took a picture of the Steam Section at his store, and look what we see!

I'm not having much luck with this. Using Xubuntu 15.10 which already includes the fix, but I don't believe that Xubuntu is detecting it as a gamepad.
So when I try to configure the joystick to work as "joystick move" nothing happens. The device only works when things are mapped as a keyboard and mouse configuration.
This makes the joystick sort of useless.
HELP!
EDIT:
I did add this line to the rules from here How do I get a Steam Controller working? [External Link] With the suggested change.
KERNEL=="uinput", MODE="0660", GROUP="users", OPTIONS+="static_node=uinput"
But in order to get WASD working I just assigned them to work with the D-pad configuration. Works okay now, testing configuration with TF2.

My biggest guess is that Valve is either working on something similar to Wine, or they are waiting to see what kind of numbers these machines generate.
A version of Wine would make a lot of sense, because I would imagine one of the biggest disappointments with Windows of late, for Valve, has been the inability to get older games working on newer versions of Windows. Windows emulation could allow someone like me, for example to play CoD4 again. Or some even older title incompatible with newer machines.
The benefit of running emulation on SteamOS would probably be less CPU overhead as well.
I think mostly that this comes down to a numbers game though. If enough people within the community dive into the machine, then it should be enticing for devs.
I don't believe that Valve doesn't want it to succeed. They just probably want it to grow more organically.
