Quoting: Power-Metal-GamesIt's Ubuntu 18.04. I assure you that I tried every possible thing I found on the internet and NOTHING worked. Not a big thing because I work every day so it's better not to play at all. :D I will just wait a little and reinstall the OS.

Wasn't there a bug and in the Ubuntu 18.04 Steam package? (Not the first time I got the impression installing Steam on Debian is easier than on Ubuntu...)

There is something that definitely prevents it from installing. But anyway, big thanks to all of you trying to help. This a great community. I almost regret that I mentioned that problem. :D
What about doing dpkg --add-architecture i386 && apt-get install -fy && apt-get install --reinstall -y steam? Does that fix your problem?

It's time to bug Feral Interactive about future port requests once again

I'd really love it if Batman: Arkham Knight were to be ported. (I'd only buy it if it were to get a Linux release.)

FPS 'Interstellar Marines' is still alive and updated, finally fixes their Wargames mode timer on Linux

Quoting: BoldosHi guys,

I have a spare copy of IM (for around 2 years now!) in my Steam inventory.
Since I do not have anything better to do with it, I will give it away as a Steam gift to the first person who raises a hand here ;)

Disclaimer: Steam account is required, since this is giftable against another steam account only.
Consider my hand raised. :P

Steam now has a form of platform-specific wishlisting, to help developers see demand

Quoting: s8as8aIf I enable this, would I (still) be able to receive games with no Linux port as gifts?

Would the only things that change be that (i) games that have no Linux port just wouldn't show in the store, when I'm logged in, and that (ii) I'd help show demand for Linux ports?

1. This setting affects only the main page of the store. You won't see non-Linux games in your discovery queue and in the "Now Popular", "New" and "Specials" sections. Although you'll still see all games in the "Upcoming" section.

2. Yeah, that'll help show demand for Linux native versions. But nobody know will it really help as of now :)
Thanks for letting me know. :)

Quoting: KelsLooks really good in terms of gameplay, although the dead-eyed, expressionless characters still freak me out too much.
I'd say that seems fitting for a Halloween update. :P

Quoting: shotgun14Unplayable on AMD Vega with Open Source drivers :'(
Do you know why, by any chance? I'm curious; also, I hope that when I upgrade my GPU in the future that I will still be able to play this game with a free-as-in-freedom driver. :)

For what it's worth, it works with my AMD Radeon HD 6970, using the free-as-in-freedom radeon driver, in Debian stable/stretch, but it didn't in the previous Debian release (which is now jessie/oldstable).

It works fine for me with radeonsi userspace driver (Mesa 17.1) and radeon kernel driver on R9 270. So just a default distro install (Fedora in my case), nothing changed, works great. There has to be some problem with Vega, it's very new and the opensource drivers are not even upstreamed yet.
Oh, I see; that makes sense.

I am still playing it; in fact, it's one of my favourite games! :)

Personally, I'd like Batman: Arkham Knight to be re-considered. :)
