Interesting - game seems to use CGA color palettes (palette 1: cyan, magenta, white, black & palette 2: red, yellow, green, black) - or at least it is close, there seems to be sections where palettes are not right.

I bought this game for fifth time!
I have original CD version, then I have CD/DVD game of the year version (I wanted expansions, and it was cheaper to purchase GOTY than all expansions separately) and GOG version. And then I seem to have Arma: Operation Gold War Assault Windows version on steam too, but I cannot remember how I got that.
So, five versions total, that should to be enough :)

Great news! This is of course instant buy for me as soon as Linux version is available. For any other game I usually wait until it is in sale, but not with Civ.

Quoting: ElectricPrismSteam Controller is a Headcrab grafted upon a X360 host. Except instead of being one controller it's two controllers mashed together. You have to choose to completely ignore the top half or the bottom half to hold it where it feels meant to be.It is interesting how different feeling I have for steam controller. I think it is best controller especially for FPS games by far. I really hate Xbox/PS controllers in any FPS style games because they are so inaccurate and need lots of aiming help to ease up aiming. With Steam controller, I can play FPS games pretty well.
Having one left joystick is a huge disappointment for FPS gaming. It fails as a FPS console controller to provide equal utility to my 15 years of playing FPS skill. The bumpers are awesome. The indentation on the left track pad sucks. It should have been raised or left out to feel like a DPad at all.
Quoting: ElectricPrismOn and the steam controller batteries -- how the fuck are you supposed to pry those out of the wings without a knife & slashing your hand. Fuck those batteries hold super tight & never come out.It is super easy to take out batteries - just press the little hinges to up, and batteries will pop out automatically?

I just tested this on Fedora 23 with Morrowind running under Playonlinux... I created simple mapping for it, and it seems to work well.
Quoting: melkemindWonder if it would work in Wine though. A quick test in Skyrim proved what I already suspected - it's much better than with Xbox controller. It works! As long as you have steam client running, all configurations and mappings work outside of Steam as well.
